She came with the smell of fire and brimstone, guns blazing, smoke billowing from her chimney as if she was feeding her engines the very souls of the dead.

Controls:

Q to spit fire
K to scuttle engines (can't resist, now that I've told you, can you?)

Oh, and don't go full speed backwards. Game doesn't like that! ;)

The trick here is, that I actually didn't set the rotation to activate at all. The propellers do all the work by themselves!

in the center of the boat with the automatic spinning block going forward and keels, then curved wall blocks nothing changed and exploded. so yeh

How'd you design the wheel? Currently, I know of three builds in the workshop with well working paddle wheels: This one, The Great Lawnmower (though it's not perfect there, since it's in the front) and Avraks' Gatsby (which is awesome and imho a must-see for every builder!). As the devs pointed out, you gotta make sure that the turning direction of the wheel is the same as that of the propellers. If not, the blocks will probably rip off and go through the hull - that can also happen, if you go full speed backwards with the Steamer.

last time i tried to make it work the pattle wheel exploded and sent me clear across the map.

Check out the new Railgun Prototype I posted in the forum for even more inspiration. ;)
I added a few explanations on the design which I hope might be useful for other builders.

Inspiring :)

Yeah, real paddle wheel would be nice, but it's a fun workaround. I also posted a fun little design which basically turns this one around for beautiful demolition, so check her out if you like: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796536693

it would be nice if they made a proper spinning block for this use.
