This is how the story goes - The Borderlands series' chronicle
By Shun
ATTENTIONSPOILERIFICI believe that most of the Borderlands nuts must have got the stories about the Borderlands series, and there is the official tale of Borderlands, it's still meaningful to write a guide in both story lines and personal suggestions in a different way to tell more.

BACKGROUNDS

The human initializes the space colonization in the future and the Borderlands is set on of the newly exploited planet - the Pandora. Though this star looks usual as any other planet does, there is the great treasure in it, the Vault, which contains unknown tech left over by the Eridans. Many weapon manufacturers came to Pandora as you can see the first generation of Borderlands, the Altas, and the Hyperion in Borderlands 2. Obvs they know that there must be Vault in Pandora.

Borderlands
Since the Vault is known with treasure, but nobody actually knows exactly what's in the Vault. Vault is appealing to many adventures, just like the Gold Rush. These adventures who hunt for Vault, are called Vault Hunters. There are 4 Vault hunters in the first generation:

ROLAND - the Soldier

LILITH - the Siren

Mordecai - the Sniper

Brick

The 4 Vault hunters are from different places but they meet in the Marcus' coach.

Instigated by Marcus, they decided to hunt for the Vault. At this time, an Angel appears, guiding them how to find the Vault.

Then the player can choose of the them to engage in the battle, alone or with your friends.
(I am not going to make detail analyses of the each characters, skills for playthrough and if you need reference, please check out other community guides for more information. )

The following comes with finding the keys and kills the bosses to find the Vault as you can play.

While the Vault hunters opened the Vault, there's neither treasure nor gold or anything valuable. All came from that Vault, was a giant monster. When the monster was killed, Vault hunters found nothing still. The main villain in Borderlands is the Altas company but it was just a trouble maker and supposed to seize the Vault. With great losses in Pandora, Altas ended up withdrawing from the planet.
Borderlands the Pre-Sequel
As we know that the pre-sequel was released after Borderlands 2, however the story line goes on between Borderlands and Borderlands 2. So I will put it right after the first generation.

The pre-sequel is a recall of the Athena, located in the moon of Pandora. Now we have to introduce a guy first, who is the villain in Borderlands 2,

Athena

The Handsome JACK

Jack used to be a staff in Hyperion and extremely fascianted with the Vault. SInce he's alone so he needed more men to work for him. Jack hired 4 men, that is, the characters in pre-sequel, the characters you control in game. They fought for the Vault for Jack. Roland and Lilith started hanging out at that moment and came to the moon for holidays. They were called to help as well. Finally Jack was seated in the chair and knew about many secrets of the Vault and even foresee the future.

At the beginning of this, Jack was quite upright and decent. Nevertheless, an evil will be the evil for good. While in the middle of the play-through, we know that the eye of the monster in first generation, was taken by the Hyperion with resign to be a deadly satellite canon. Lilith decided to ruin Jack's plan when she finally knew what he wanted. First she permanently disabled the canon, following Jack and hit him on the face when Jack was in the chair. (This is why you see Jack's holding a mask in Borderlands 2) Jack failed take the Vault. All these turned Jack into a maniac. He seize the throne of Hyperion by assassinating the former president, starting his domination of Pandora.

3 of the available characters who help Jack build his empire are the villains killed by the players in Borderlands 2. Nisha turned out the girlfriend of Jack. Wilhelm was rebuilt into a Hyperion robot later on. Athena, Claptrap, and the The Riflewoman (the sister of Hammerlock) were the NPC in Borderlands&2. If you're attentive enough and you might know from the Claptrap in Borderlands 2 that he is the last claptrap in this world. All the claptrap except him were killed by Jack.

Borderlands 2 - Part ONE
The Vault turned out nothing in Borderlands, but a new mine started to grow. The Eridium. As we mentioned before, Altas was out from Pandora and Hyperion took it over. Jack was completely insane and decided to cleanse what he thought the 'the bandits', the civilians in Pandora suffered the terrified persecution and slaughter.

Sanctuary

Sanctuary was built as a shelter in Borderlands for the civilians, where the 4 characters in the first generation was living. A resistance organization led by Roland, began to convene people from Pandora to fight against the Hyperion.

Jack advertised to appeal people to Pandora, which were the 6 characters in Borderlands 2
Maya the siren, Zero the assassinator, Salvator the gunzerker, Axton the commando and 2 additional DLC characters, Mechro and Kreig.

Maya the Siren

Jack blew off the train where all the Vault hunters were taking but failed. The player was digged out by Claptrap and with the help of Sir Hammerlock, all the Vault hunters both in the first generation and 2 met together in Sanctuary. Then the battle against Jack started.

Jack was supposed to open a new Vault, as it's said a Warrior inside the Vault. There is no doubt Jack would like to eliminate the rebels with the power of the Warrior but it came to Roland that if they could take the Warrior before Jack, it'd be a great helper to them to defeat Jack.

The Warrior
Borderlands 2 - Part TWO
In advancing to get the Vault, we know that the Angel in the first generation was Jack's daughter, a siren same as Lilith and Maya. All the Vault Hunters' movements actually belonged to the Jack's program. Even as a daughter, Angel was locked in the machine and absorbing the power of siren from her to generate the Vault. Angel told the player that "You need the key, the key, is me".
After entering the chamber of Angel, the Vault Hunters successfully <rescue> her. Yes indeed, death seems to be the only relief for her.

The Angel

All of sudden, Jack appeared and shot Roland by the heart. Roland's dead and Lilith was captured.

Lilith would be the key to open the Vault since Angel's dead. The Vault hunters broke into the Vault of Warrior with the help of Mordecai and Brick. Unfortunately, they were a little bit late. Jack released the Warrior. Before the Warrior's out, the player need to defeat Jack first. What's funny is that. as the boss the Hyperion, Jack is not that powerful as imaged.

The warrior was down and Jack was killed by Lilith likewise. A mysterious chart appeared with many stars including Pandora. There were all Vaults in them.

So far, the Borderlands' story ends, but we believe there will be more in the next generation of Borderlands. Thanks for your time on this.
Enjoy! Some shots in Borderlands

This is a nifty summary of the plot for the series, though it was confirmed that the body double you kill in Borderlands 2 is a different one, not the one from the Pre-Sequel.

Also, Jack lured the original 4 Vault Hunters to Pandora as he already had knowledge of the Vaults and the spawning of Eridium that'd occur if opened, and used Angel as a way to "guide" them to open the first Vault; he more or less masterminded the entire thing.

Tales of the Borderlands is also entirely canonical as well, so you could also add that lore in as well if you're familiar with! :D

*Side note: Those screenshots are great; nicely done! :steamhappy:
