Observer Spy Set Props

This addon includes almost all of the props, buildings, weapons, and other misc items from the Observer Spy set I created for the TF2 and SFM workshops.


Thus begins my first "Month of Gmod", a month where I shift focus and work on ports and other things specifically targeted at GMod. I'll be combing through my GMod request list and porting/working on things that people have asked for in the past. Expect a couple SFM -> GMod ports, along with a few extra unexpected things. I haven't really planned out much more than "work on GMod stuff", so I can't say exactly how much I will get done this month.

This is one of the oldest requests to date, "port over my Spy stuff". The set includes as much as I was able to port, while excluding a few problem items. Below is a list of what is included.


Buildings: These all have physics, and lack backsides. They were built as facades, similar to movie lot buildings.

-Some of the building models have interior collisions(the archway and tunnel buildings). You can walk around inside of them. Be sure to freeze them before you do so. The rest of the buildings have baked in windows and doors, and are solid blocks.

-The items and weapons can be bone merged to the Spy using a bone merger tool.

-prp_cloud_plane_gmod is a poseable cloud, useful for making fog or smoke clouds. A picture above has been provided of multiple clouds placed in front of the camera.

-prp_rain_group is a poseable group of water droplets. Like the smoke cloud, an example of its use is shown above.

-The dart models are provided as is. They were never intended to be world props, and have no collision. I couldn't find any reason to port them, but also no reason not to.

-All models have received LOD and Shadow LOD treatment. Further optimizations have been made to their textures. If they don't look exactly like they do in SFM, that's probably the reason.
