AB-LRV-Type8-MBTA-DOUBLE by bubbac2005

The AnsaldoBreda made Light Rail Vehicle Type 8... It's farily new on Boston's Green Line, and it's really shiny... They were purchased to make the Green Line more Handicap accessible. They hold slightly less people than the Kinkis Sharyo Type 7's, and are also plagued by technical problems.. and this asset is no different..

Each Tram is 3 cars. The front end, and back end, each hold 50 people, while the mid section holds 10. For a total of 110 people per tram.

This version is the Double version (220 people) which is the standard configuration.


Known issues-
High Tris (8k)
Route signs on the sides have some unlit pixels.. (but that actually is how most of them are in real life anyway) i now know why.. the signs are located past the rear 50% mark of the model.. meaning they render the illumination mask as brake lights. if i think of a work around for this i will fix it.. otherwise, just gotta deal with signs that only light up with when braking..
Mid section takes corners kinda funky.. will continue to work it out. i've put a lot of time into it, but i wanted to get these out there.

The Boston Green Line partially goes underground, what about the version for the metro lines?

I can tell you with 100 percent certainty, the cars do not hold 50 people, they barely hold 25

yes ive redone the line multiple times, tried putting the depot in different places, the trams have a way back, the other trams i have work fine and can return to the depot.

one thing i can think of, is that line has a way out of the depot, but noway back in, and when budget control removes a train, they just despawn instead of going back to the depot..

hmmm.. that is strange then.. gotta be something with that track. or line. have you deleted the line and made a new one? instead of just adding more stops? also might budget control might be taking them off the tracks?

@nahtank- did you subscribe to the collection? if so, is it all of them? or just this one type? if not, maybe try one of the other types see if they make it through?
