By this point in the game you have probably noticed that the monkeys have been conditioned to check your pockets and will expect food if you so much as pause to take a picture. Their modus operandi is as follows: the monkeys leap upon and latch themselves to the tourists' bags,women then ask the helpless tourists to feed these monkeys, whereupon they are charged 5 Yuan for said feed, an exorbitant price.

During my first attempt to pass one monkey (with the feed peddlers nearby, sentinel, with their mouths agape that I would dare face them alone), it unzipped the pockets of my bag, stealing any food within. I decided after this shocking theft that I might leave my bags with my companion, who happened to be present at the time, however, this proved to be ineffective. One apparently hungry monkey grabbed onto my clothes, staring up at me, daring me to make my move, pleading me to throw some food for it, which one of these vile witches then offered to sell me. To them, I shouted "NO" in an authoritative manner, although it was to little effect, herself shouting back to me "YOU MUST TURN BACK THEN", receiving my most bitter of stares before I resigned myself to defeat; "Fine" I uttered, the monkey dropped from me and I walked slowly away. I looked over my shoulder only to see the woman beckon the monkey to herself before pointing to another tourist, which it leapt upon.

The trip wasn't entirely awful, however, mainly due to the scenery of the Qingyin Pavilion and the surrounding area.

Upon my second attempt, I noticed the use of new techniques such as one instance wherein a cord is fastened around the monkey's waist before being led to a coconut palm, which it then rapidly climbs. Upon seeing a nut the monkey grabs it before twisting the nut, detaching it from the tree. If the nut is deemed in someway unsuitable, the owner tugs at the cord and the monkey selects another.

Armed with this knowledge I was able to complete this section with relative ease, it is my hope that I can pass this on and allow others to surpass this "level" as it were.

TIP: do not wear red as this only serves to enrage the monkeys further.

TIP: you MUST arm yourself with a stick, if not multiple. Keep these sticks raised in readiness for a strike.
