Codenames: Pictures

Codenames with pictures instead of words. Can easily be mixed with the words mod.

Czech Games does say that the game can be mixed with the Original codenames. However, this is a 5x4 grid and not a 5x5 grid, so you'd have to use one or the other. Mostly cause 20 answers is easier to come up with than 25.

Thanks for making this game! I wanted to help others who are having trouble with the hidden zone feature. These are the steps I took to make it work:

1. Have the spymasters sit at red and blue seats
2. Put the red and blue players on the same team (red heart, etc.)
3. Have the host select Hidden from the Zone tool menu (normally a vertical picture menu floating on the left of your TTS screen)
4. Click on the red hidden zone and you'll have a menu of options. Check "See-through"
5. Click on the blue hidden zone and check "See-through"
6. Click on the blue zone again and use the colorwheel to change it to red.

Both spymasters (and no one else) should now be able to see the key!

Also, for the record, it doesn't matter which color you change, you could make both hidden zones blue instead and the outcome is the same. If you are testing this by yourself however, you must change it to the color you're currently using (red or blue) in order to see the key.

Hope this helps!

Ok so where are the clue cards? I won't see them until two people are on the same team?

If you are a player that isn't RED or BLUE but on the same team of RED and BLUE and didn't change your team again after leaving team RED or BLUE seat, you will still see the answer sheet.

@VenomXMoneV There is a note on the bottom left corner that tells you that Both player RED and player BLUE have to both be on the same team. For example (Team Hearts, Spades, Diamond etc.) This is why the card spreads across both boxes because you need both players to be on the same team to be the "Codemasters".

As for the sitting in a non-codemaster seat and pressing alt over the hidden boxes, I get nothing. Hopefully you're not having some other setting on that I'm not aware of.

Ok, a bit more. When taking a seat at blue or red position there's nothing in the box. Seems the host has to go up to Zone then Hidden and select options to get what's inside to appear. I wish there were more instructions in the notes to tell you how to run this game.

Yeah but it doesn't work. They can see in their half of the box but the clue card spreads across both boxes. I sat in the non-codemaster seats. Put my pointer over the boxes and pushed alt (for item to zoom out) and it showed me the card.

@VenomXmoneV Its a rudimentary version of Codenames pictures. You just have a player in Red and Blue sit in their seats and join the same team so both can see the clue card. I also fail to see what you mean about any player can see the clue card. I just checked it out and I don't get this same result.

broken. No info on how to run this. Boxes don't work so both sides see the clue card. What's worse is any seated player can see the clue card by hover pointer and pushing alt. Please fix or remove.

@chm_dan You have to have player red and blue be on the same team in order to see the answer card.
