From Naked Noob to Clothed Killer - PEI Guide
By Steve The Stately Gentleman
The world of Unturned can be a pretty rough place for new players. You spawn, sneak your naked ass into town, find a pair of pants, then get shot in the head by some passerby.... rinse and repeat.

This guide will help break that routine and turn you into the fully clothed killer you deserve to be!

Intro
So, if you're like me, you eagerly joined a server not knowing the horrors of Unturneds' online community.

You spawned in, naked as the day you were born, innocently ventured into town for a pair of pants and some grape juice, then got shot in the face by 1 of the 20 fully kitted lunatics playing this server.

You spawn again...similar results. This happens over and over again. Pants, juice, death.....
Your Survival Checklist
The key to surviving is to prioritize your needs. Please see below:

1 - Get yourself a Gun

Lets face it, the Unturned community is filled with a bunch of block headed psychopaths, armed with high powered rifles. Defending yourself is priority # 1! Owning a gun will immediately increase your chances of survival.

Forget food, clothes, and juice boxes. When playing PEI get your naked self to O'Leary Military Base or Confederation Bridge ASAP.

Both locations are easy to sneak in and out of, and normally offer some decent weapons. If your situation won't allow for a trip to the NW side of the island, try looting a campsite (normally good for a bow or low powered rifle). Any projectile weapon is better than nothing.

2 - Clothe yourself, this isn't a nudist colony

Aside from making you look super cool, clothes offer valuable storage space. Shirts, pants, vests, and backpacks all give extra inventory slots. Luckily, clothes are available everywhere, so layer up!

3 - First Aid

Nothing is more frustrating than escaping a horde of zombies or an attack from a fellow player just to bleed out in a field somewhere. Collect clothes, salvage them, make rags and bandages, etc.

4 - Food and Drink

Just like bleeding to death, starving to death is equally stupid. Get yourself to a town and raid some pantries.

5 - Axes, Chainsaws, and Bedrolls

Once you've taken care of your imidiate needs you'll want to start planning long term. This means a claimed bed, storage, and shelter. When you die you'll want to respawn somewhere safe, ideally next to a box filled with weapons and clothes.

Shelters dont have to be fancy (for now), just 4 walls, a roof, and a locked door. For the record, a standard wood door does not lock! I learned this the hard way.

Starting out you don't need to build a fortress, just something that the riffraff won't be able to walk into (and something that can be rebuilt easily). To build a shelter you'll need an Ax or Chainsaw to chop trees. Try campsites for Axes and Farms for Chainsaws.
A Word About Travel
Most vehicles you encounter online will be locked. This means no wheels for you and chances are you'll be stuck walking everywhere. To make this easier spend some XP on Cardio and Exercise. These skills will allow you to run longer making travel/escape a breeze.

When traveling on foot stay away from roads. Roads offer no cover and make you easy prey for those blocky lunatics on the server. Stick to the hills and forests, this minimizes visibility and gives you options for escape if attacked. Also, the high ground gives you a great vantage point on towns and bases. You'll be able to see them before they see you.

A Word About The Community
The message in every self respecting zombie movie is: Zombies are just a nuisance, people are the real threat. This is as true in Unturned as it is in the movies.

I won't lie to you, killing unsuspecting players is one of the greatest pleasures in the game. Some naked fool comes crawling in from the beach to get some gear, and right when he's found something of value... BAM! You take his stupid block face off with a well placed shot from the hills! Mmmmm, statisfying.

The problem is, most people feel this way... so teamwork can be a tricky thing to navigate. For every 1 cool player you meet who wants to help you gear up and team, you'll meet 10 who will knife you for your top hat. So, enter every encounter with a healthy degree of skepticism....especially if you have some good gear. Most players would rather kill you for gear than find it themselves.
In Closing
Admittedly, my experience in Unturned is limited. The goal of this guide is to share some of the tips I've picked up through raw trial and error. This is by no means the Holy Grail, but hopefully it helps a few people out.

If you guys have found this useful, and have any suggestions for future posts please let me know.

This guide saved my life, even though i play singleplayer. Also, the lighthouse in PEI is great for supplies.
