I need to add an update: in some even newer games there are actual wheelchaired characters! Elder Scrolls Online has a wheelchaired Elven librarian, and Eastshade has a wheelchaired old woman living in the middle of the big city, and Stardew Valley has a disabled old man in a wheelchair too! But it feels fitting that Cyan was probably the forerunner.
