~The BGM So Far~ FFXIII-2 BGM Mod V0.5 RELEASED
By Isolated Rainbow
The Final Fantasy XIII-2 background music is too loud for most people to stand! It drowns out important character voices, and other sound effects, and is absolutely deafening.

This mod will allow you to set a custom volume for the BGM by setting the BGM to 50, 60, 70, 80, and 85 percent of what the normal music is. This also allows you to set it to 0.

Welcome to ~The BGM So Far~, The Final Fantasy XIII-2 BGM Mod!

Version 0.5 currently mods in a different battle theme, and a different victory fanfare. This was done as a proof of concecpt that it is possible to change the music in this game, as well as lower it(which I'm currently working on.)

This is the custom battle theme I put into the game. I much preferred FFXIII's theme, but enjoyed the upbeat tempo of the second game. I felt this mixed the two perfectly.

This is the custom victory fanfare I put into the game. I felt the game's fanfare was boring after I just won the battle, and I enjoyed the Lost Odyssey fanfare much more.

This mod also uses the FF13Tool.exe tool found at the Steam Community linked above. Feel free to poke around that if you want to try your hand at modding this game as well! The tool works for XIII and Lightning Returns as well, so check it out if you want to try and beat me to those games.

I will be posting a video showcasing the mod shortly when I am able to get it recorded. I will also include links to the other mods installed as well.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Copy "filelist_scru.win32.bin, filelistu.win32.bin, white_imgu.win32.bin, white_scru.win32.bin, to the FF132 Tool Folder you downloaded and extracted.

2. Run Import Custom Music.bat and wait for it to finish. It is set to pause before it finishes so you can review any errors it gives. Please don't close the command prompt until it gives this indicator.

3. Copy the same files from the FF132 Tool folder back to your \Common\FINAL FANTASY XIII-2\alba_data\sys and run your game!

Hi, could you have a mod version that uses the default original "Blinded by Light" version instead of the trance remix for random encounters?

Thanks.

So,my last job deleted all of my files and I had it there for the unlimited storage. Unfortunately, the time that it would take to recreate this mod is cumbersome. That doesn't mean I won't do it if enough people ask for it, however.

When I get on my computer next, I'll check, but I imagine the ffxiiicrypt tool would be able to.

umm..I know it's not related but still will ask. have u guys found any way to extract the music files of Lightning Returns PC version ?

You will want to copy of FF13tool.exe, ffxiiicrypt.exe and the patch you want to run over to Alba_Data\UDP folder.

I've got the fix for that. When I get back to my PC, I'll let you know.

Thanks! However, when i use the English Voiceover Patch inside the Alba_data folder, it gives a ton of errors like "Failed to open filelist_patch_u.win32.bin for reading"

You shouldn't have any issues

Hey I saw your backup mod pack on the other modding thread, I wanted to know if it includes the Monster Mod pack? And if can I use amcolash's music mod along with it? Since they use some of the same files.
