Welcome to this guide! If you are reading this, I will presume that you are stuggling to beat/farm this boss. Using this guide, you will be able to learn his attacks and take him down.

DebrisLord has 3 attacks (not counting the instakill contact damage, which doesn't really count as an attack since he makes no attempts to actively ram you.) that you will need to dodge. These 3 attacks will deal varying amounts of damage depending on your ship and difficulty level.

I commonly like to Identify these attacks by their color. The 3 attacks are posted below with images.

The Red Attack:



This attack is the easiest one to dodge, and he will use it in conjunction with his Green Attack. This attack involves DebrisLord shooting red orbs in various directions which will move at a medium speed and zigzag around. This seems daunting, but if you stick to the far left side of the screen, most of these will fizzle out before they hit you. Just simply dodge the rest.

The Green Attack:



This attack is probably the hardest one to dodge IMO. This attack involves DebrisLord firing a bunch of green orbs in a variety of directions that travel in a straight line. These orbs are easier to avoid the farther away you are from the boss.

The Blue Attack:



This attack is the 2nd easiest to dodge. The boss will move over to the right side of the screen, and move up and down while shooting lines of blue orbs at you. This attack isn't hard to dodge if you plan out a pattern beforehand. Just make sure to use the mouse movement to dodge this, using the arrow keys or WASD will result in you overshooting/going too fast and ramming into things.

Now that you know his attacks, you want to know how to win, right? Well, the best time to attack him will be when he is using the Red and Green Attacks. Nothing can pierce through the Blue Attack (see the image above) so focus solely on dodging that one. The best position to be shooting from is about halfway between the middle and top of the screen on the far left side. By far the best weapon to use is final blast, because he will be almost directly on top of the phoenix when using the Red and Green attacks. If you find that you are taking too much damage, go to the top left corner of the screen and focus solely on dodging. Since you are farther away than if you were in the middle of the left side shooting at him, you will find dodging easier since the ALL the attacks are easier to dodge the farther away from the boss you are.

Knowing all this, just keep doing this and going to the corner when getting too hurt until this screen shows up: (There is only one boss in this game that has more than one phase, and it is very obvious which one it is when you get to it.)



(If anyone needs to know the pattern of which move he uses, it is generally 2-3 cycles of Red and Green attacks followed by 1 Blue Attack.)
