Introduction
This guide is aimed at suggesting possible farming locations to get creatures which are available from the map. I will exclude those only available from crypts.
The purpose is to get F2P players to believe they can do it, rather than just say "game is P2W" and not come back.
Rank
To begin with, i first recommend reaching a good rank. Gather experience actually makes the game easier, as ALL areas on the map become easier with rank.
This also will eventually give access to Emperor/God stages which are highly important as well as allowing you to easily complete these difficulties on various areas on the map.
Rank also gives access to more evolutions, friends, food cap, army space and free stuff!
Gain experience towards rank from:
Stages on the Map: This is the main source of rank experience.
Daily quests: Complete as many as you can, the only one to consider avoiding is paying gems.
Guilds: workshop can let you gain additional experience (worth getting if you intend to complete stages for the first time) + elder shrine
Pre rank 50/under 300 AP
To begin with before you start moving onto more difficult creatures, i would personally aim for getting ATTACKER, ELITE, Tier I units to rank IV. These include: Wolf, Undead wolf, thief, dead farmer. Once you have a front row (you may have a few III units given to you which also work), you can then worry about getting a row behind and may start considering choosing your race. For ranged if you're struggling most of them are "ok" as long as you get a full 435% boost. Human archers have probably the best ability, Demon archers are probably easiest to farm.
Champion/Emperor/God
For obvious reasons, God is the preferred mode to get creatures in. You may not necessarily be able to farm god mode in the recommended stages, so i've stated the champion level requirement which should really be considered the minimum.
Beast Warlords and general beast
In general to begin with, beast highly relies on making best use of Graugt's double attack aura. Beasts have various decent attacker and stout units, but very lacking in F2P ranged units. Access to the only defense reducing aura.
Partially relies on "premium" units for a decent middle row. A basic V is roughly the same as a MAX rank (stars) II for ranged.
Ororo gives the option of thorns which should be very much considered, the 2000 gems is easier to get than it looks as it's a 1 off purchase.
Units: Tier II
Tree: Type: Defender, Recommendation: 8 out of 10, Location: Trials/Turn 4 (rank 40)
The aura has good range which can boost a significant number of units. Should boost at least 4 units to be useful. Very useful for mixed race. Can be difficult to farm as Turn 4 has very few of them, other stages are little better.

Melee orc: Type: Attacker, Recommendation: 2/10, Location: Trials/Ancients ground
A standard attacker unit which has limited use considering beast has much better attacker options. Critical is good but needs higher reliability.

Ranged goblin: Type: Ranged, Recommendation: 1/10, Location: Trials/???
Triple attack stacks with graugt to produce sextuple attacks, which is interesting, but maxes at VI as it evolves into water mage. Final stats are similar to a basic premium V unit. Cannot hit middle/back ranks being a large concern.

orange plant: Type: Ranged, Recommendation: 3/10, Location: Trials/Sunny Meadow (rank 28)
Piercing is useful to hit middle and back ranks with a full 100% damage when maxed, maxes at VI but is useful for a reasonable length of time.

green plant: Type: Ranged, Recommendation: 4/10, Location: Trials/wild place 1 (rank 26)
Splash is a solid ability and 45% is a fairly decent amount of it. Maxes at VI, but is useful for a reasonable length of time.

Cactus: Type: Melee, Recommedation: 5/10, Location: Assassain 1 (rank 70)
Splash again this time upto 75% and very decent damage to boot. Farmed in a very useful location as Assassain 1 provides immense exp for your squad. Would NOT recommend farming him anywhere else, as part of his rating is his ease to farm. His ability to damage the second row makes me consider a higher rating.

Blue Spider: Type: Ranged, Recommendation 2/10, Location: Assassain 1 (rank 70)
A solid amount of piercing to get through defenders but lacks ability to hit middle row. Maxes at VI but can be ok. Rating partially influenced by using Assassain 1, where this guy can be maxed VERY VERY quickly. Would not recommend farming him anywhere else.

Green Spider: Type: Ranged, Recommendation: 2/10, Location: Assassain 1 (rank 70)
Blind is an ok ability, lacks ability to hit middle row. Maxes at VI, there are better options. Again uses Assassain 1, would not recommend farming anywhere else.

Red Spider: Type: Ranged, Recommendation 1/10, Location: Trials/Terrarium (rank 58)
Terrible ability, cannot hit middle row. There are much better options and difficult to farm.

Gorilla: Type: Stout, Recommendation: 1/10, Location: Trials/sad swamp (rank 28)
Boost to attack is extremely minimal later on, Absolutely useless with Graught, has some use with Ororo to reflect and easiest beast stout to farm which has reasonable health. There are much better options though.
Units: Tier III
Amber Scorpion: Type Stout, Recommendation: 3/10 Location: Wild Place 5/Potion 1 (Rank 26/66)
Interesting ability, heard of 50 round fights where this guy wins, would rather win more solidly myself with more than a few units left. Use if you're desperate. Difficult to farm in my opinion (locations don't have many of them)

Black Scorpion: Type Stout, Recommendation: 0/10 Location: Wild Place 1 (low rank)/Potion 2 (optimal) (rank 26/66)
Terrible damage which hits 5 units is still terrible damage. I've seen them thrown into the first rank to try and damage the second rank, but there are MUCH MUCH better options. Avoid.

Purple Beetle: Type Defender, Recommendation 8/10+ Location: Terrarium (rank 58)
Solid ability, stacks with graugt to allow quadruple fire. The % is a bit low though and lack of ranged units could be an issue. Similar to tree for recommendation simply because the tree is easier to get hold of and to max.

Black Beetle: Type Defender, Recommendation 0/10 Location: Assassain 1 (rank 70)
Ability scales terribly. Good at the start if you can get a decent grade but as soon as a few units hit VII, the damage it gives back is worthless. Reduces attackers hp by 5-25% or reduces aoe hp of 3-10% when hit would be my suggestion if Devs are looking.

Cunning Thief: (Cat with swords): Type Attacker, Recommendation 8/10: Location ???
Ability is really solid later on, but takes a while to get there. Very difficult to farm from what i've seen as only a few locations available.

Gargoyle: Type Defender, Recommendation 2/10, Location: Wild place 2/Potion 2 (Rank 26/66)
Ability is generally not useful as it's generally dead before it can stack up and if it does "stack up" damage is doubled/tripled etc which overruns a simple defense "boost". Also uses a Vital ingredient required for another III unit of much higher priority.

Manticore: Type Attacker, Recommendation 10/10, Location: Wild place 1+2, Potion 2, (rank 26/66) (+hunt3 if you're only missing wolves)
Decent ability which is maxed very early and amazing stats, to put in perspective, it has nearly DOUBLE the hp as well as higher attack than the Lion. Every beast squad needs at least one. Has huge hp for an attacker and suits ororo as well as graugt

Ogre: Type: Stout, Recommendation 3++ (read info)/10, Location: ?? (i've never really farmed them)
Solid ability when in general does NOT suit beast F2P as most of them are female. Can be very useful in Dual Race though (boosting necromancer/monk for example is very good).

Orc Witch: Type: Ranged, Recommendation 9++/10, Location: Wild place 1+2, Jolanta1+potion 2 (rank 26+26,42+66)
Best non warlord beast ability, Can continuously upgrade and has 3 range, get them as high a rank as you can. Auras will stack, so using a VI and V will provide a 65% boost to all beast units the auras reach.

Shaman: Type:Ranged, Recommendation 6.5/10, Location: trials/wild place 1 (rank 26)
Solid ability although has limited use outside of beast for F2P (premium units like lilith and succubus however..) as most other races F2p revolve around male units. Would suggest trying to get 2x orc witches, but this is a solid backup with few other alternatives for pure beast. Does not boost itself as it's male.

Spring monster: Type: Stout, Recommendation 3or6+/10 Location: ???
Bad for Graugt users, very good for Ororo users. Simple as that really.

Triton (basilisk): Type: Stout, Recommendation 7or9 Location Sunny meadow/Assassain 1 (rank 28/70)
Good even for Graugt users and non beast, Huge HP for stouts and works tremendously with ororo. Also is farmed very very very quickly in assassain 1 which has a massive exp boost.

beast healer: Type: Healer, Recommedantion 4-6/10, Location: Assassain 1 (rank 70)
Generally PVP is much better for damage dealers than healers, the more defenders you're using the more effective the healer. works well with spring monster if you're using one.

Lion: Type: Attacker, Recommendation 4/10, Location: Hunt 3 (rank 14)
It's ability simply isn't as good as the manticores, has less damage and around half the health of manticore, why are you using this over a second manticore? Would like to see a significant buff to him.
Notes
Premium units at V (dragons/genie) are as good as VI ranged units, picking up a few amber crypts (do not buy ruby crypts for any reason) to get a few early on will significantly boost your army.
General Farming should be Wild place 1 + 2 for both manticores and orcish witches. These can be improved to jolanta1 and potion 2. Hunt 3 is actually the best place if you require only wolves.

I may consider giving a full guide to Demons/Humans at a later stage, although i have much less experience with both but have decent ideas.
In general the following units should be used:
Demon Units/Guide
General Principle: Front line to involve either multiple ghost knights or to use demon trees. Back lines to focus on necromancer.
demon trees II
autumn plants (only IF you use demon trees)
Ghost knight - Ridiculously good unit, consider throwing one in to ANY squad.
Necromancer - Solid in pure demon and should be used in Dual race builds.
Fire elemental (double attack aura) - Very solid aura
demon mage - Again a solid aura + range 3
Human Units/Guide
General Principle: Front line to make best use of monks, boost their damage as much as possible.
Archer II - Easy to farm and will do OK for a long time.
Monk: Primary damage dealer, try and buff as much as possible
Frostblade ninja: A decent second
White knights (block ability): Fantastic defender and helps keep everything else alive
Earth mage: Works tremendously with white knight
Water mage: Solid aura to make everything even harder to kill
Enchantress: Makes unkillable stuff killable, simple! Pretty solid damage to boot.
Elite % numbers
So a cool tip, did you know you can in theory evolve two non elites to make an elite?

The following is the MINIMUM amount to make it elite, this is most important for the 4* Tier 1 units for making Tier 3 units:

I 30%+
II 60%+
III 151%+ (121%+ for Wolves)
IV 331%+ (271%+ for Wolves)
VI 695%+

Let us suggest we are making a Tier III Orc Witch and need a Tier I Wasp 4* to finish up. We can use some non elite units to assist.

A minimum of 331% is needed, so as an example we could:
use 8 1* wasps, 7 of which are elite, 1 is not. Using Megaevolve day to get 3x at 75% and 1x at 45% (green star)
Evolve these with elite zombie wolves on megaevolve day= 1x at 195%, 1x at 165%
Evolve these (you can use a non-elite mushroom too in this case): = 195+165 + 10 or 15% = 370 which is more than enough. If using Megaevolution at each stage, you can cut the amount of elite's needed by 3 in total.

Obviously for things like the manticore, the % is the important part so avoid using non elites on anything tier 3 or better.
Final Thoughts
For new players looking to choose a race, or consider dual race, at the moment i would suggest Demon (i know it's a beast guide), as the necromancers are easiest to farm and have a multitude of ways to boost them and demons have a solid front line.

Hope this helps a few people.

thank you very much

Hi Dandey,

Correct, manticores are from lion from hell.

orc witch comes from the large bee (the tier 1 is called buzzing wasp) combined with the blue druid fellows (the tier 1 guy is called "hunter"). The hunters are particularly difficult to catch

two questions...the mantricore evolve from lion from hell(the one with counter attack ability)? what about the orc witch? have some beasts and i'm not sure which in which evolve

Hi danny, there is info available on this if you google it :)
for this particular instance:
Warrior of Dark has roughly a 4-7% chance for it's soul to drop and it has an 18% chance of not fleeing.
so roughly a 1% chance of having it drop and not flee.
I would try and locate a guild which can farm cameras, so that you can just camera them. Otherwise getting 1 in 100 runs seems a bit futile to me. 1 in 20 seems acceptable ;)
in terms of elite/rainbow, these numbers are displayed in game and are accurate.

Also for the people who keep posting their ID. Please don't. I WILL remove your comment. I "may" still answer a question if that was included. If you wish to post your ID, that is what the forum is for.
Lastly, i am currently inactive, so will not be keeping up with changes at the moment. This guide will still be highly relevant though and should you query something that i don't know, i will usually go online and see if i can figure it out.

Here's a question for you: what would you say the probability is, in percent, to catch a rainbow Warrior of Dark from the second stage in Traitor (third location on the map), with the God mode?

Notes:
-The chance that it drops its soul is low.
-There is only one of that creature on the stage.
-There's a chance for it to flee.

Added a new section on elite % numbers just before final thoughts which has some more useful info on non elites.

When I was new, the only non-elite i upgraded was a Lion as i had a non elite with an elite one as i could only fit one in my squad. Seeing i didn't really rate it and they are reasonably easy to get hold of i upgraded it for a small boost. Once i started getting other units it was soon replaced and sold.

The question should be:
1. Are you using it now?
2. Are you going to replace it with an entirely different unit?

If you answered yes to both of these, then basically why not? it's just a short term improvement.
If you answered No to either of them, it's probably not worth doing.

Hope this helps :)

As a new player, shoulds I use non-eleite units for anything but exp and gold?

appreciate the feedback but humans a bit messy with a lot of areas being viable to farm. I certainly don't have the knowledge on best locations. One step location at gnalu village 3 for the bright swordsman is an excellent boost to try and keep the monks alive.

Demons is simple enough: 1 step assassain 2 for necromancers (really really fast if your guild provides cameras). Dark night 3 is reasonably good for getting demon mages quickly.
Ghost knights are possible to one step if you have a decent blue dragon (or potentially stack up auras on it) on revenge 2 otherwise the areas to farm it are limited any how. Also very few stages for the demon tree (can be one stepped at turn 1). The rest such as fire elementals you'll have to figure out on your own for locations.

Too much work was required to make this one to consider doing all out guides on the other two races.
