I'm pretty sure you misunderstood - this isn't for skipping cutscenes, it's for skipping those logo videos when the game start, like Remedy logo etc

Nightsfan- it could be helpful if doing multiple playthrus for collectibles.. but initially I'd want to see them to get the story.

Sure, but file moving a bit clearer technique. You can find those files again much faster (instead of arranging list of different files within that folder or running search with some kind of criteria). It makes you able to essentially operate those files whenever you want. Like so, undo all of your changes with one mouse move or keyboard shortcut.
