Pirates Versus Boners

Pirates Versus Boners is a gamemode inspired by the Battlefield 2: Pirates mod, in specific, the 'zombies' gamemode. In this gamemode, all players start off as swashbuckling pirates. After 20 seconds, a random pirate is revealed to be a Boner! An evil pirate skeleton hell-bent on killing every pirate it sees.

Pirates must survive an endless onslaught of Boners, with each of their dead becoming one with the Skeleton Army.


* Skill based melee combat, with a pair of melee weapons. Each weapon has a different moveset that interact with each other in different ways. With the cutlass, maneuver around your opponent to land well placed strikes, and parry enemy attacks to deal massive damage. With the spear, use your long reach to hunt down opponents, and use the unblockable bash attack to knock back enemies, or toss friends to hard to reach locations. More melee weapons to be added in the future, so stay tuned!

* Four different ranged weapons: A Flintlock Pistol, Musket, Blunderbuss, and Crossbow.

* Suicide Keg (a slightly modified Jihad bomb).

* Weapons are randomly selected per player, and Boners get different weapons from Pirates.

* One basic map to start with, with more coming soon. (To be released sperately)

* Custom models, weapons, and sounds.


Fort Sunny - By Me


PVB is extremely simple to map for. At this time, maps only require the use of both info_player_deathmatch entities, and info_player_terrorist. Deathmatch spawns work for pirates, terrorist spawns for Boners. Later updates may include new entities, but they will remain simple and easy to use.


Several weapons cause lua errors if they are interrupted by player death. I think I know how to fix this.
