Hello humble Steam user! This is a guide to help you with some small little nit picks to help make GTA Online easier or better to play! This isn't one of those "git gud" or "ur bad ♥♥♥" guides, as no propper gamer acts like that. Only the scum from Call Of Duty do.

Starting into GTA Online
Starting into GTA it's important to know a few things, here's what you should know.

First of all, always have a friend. It's dangerous to go into GTA alone. It's better to be able to voice chat that friend too.

If you ever get cash on hand use your Phone to bank it. Yep. You can bank and withdraw money from your phone.

Weapons to buy
When starting in you'll only be given a pistol. It's not bad aslong as you know how to aim, otherwise you can buy weapons from an Ammunation store, being an experienced player and having other people rely on aircraft, mainly the Buzzard Attack Helicopter it's recommended to get the Homing Launcher first, along with something good for on the ground. My personal opinion would be the Special Carbine, as it's both good for short to medium range fights.

What to do and what not to do
Don't blow up other people's cars. You'll have to pay insurance for them and it comes out of your pocket and you being a low level means cash is everything. (Unless you're a scrub and bought a Shark card starter pack like me) You can just as easily kill people without having to destroy their cars. Unless they're using an Armoured Kuruma then you should either run away or blow it up to save your K/D.

VIP work? Best to let them be. Mainly the crate missions, you won't get much for destroying a CEO's crate only 2k per crate. You can get that ammount from robbing a store, not to meantion you'll make the CEO angry and he'll probably hunt you down and kill you until you quit.

Loss of connection or people are lagging? Then it's either your net or Rockstar's servers. Or the person lagging.

Weapons and vehicles
Recommended Weapons
First thing's first. DO NOT buy every weapon under the sun. You only need a max of two weapons per weapon type. As you cannot get rid of your weapons and if you own all of the pistols it'll take you forever to get to the Revolver or something along that line. You'll only need your starting pistol, a Machine Pistol, one Shotgun, one Rifle, one Sniper Rifle, an explosive weapon (not bombs/grenades) and a melee weapon (preferably a knife)

Silencers? Yes. They'll stop Police randomly going after you unless an officer actually sees you shooting. Not to mention it'll reduce muzzle flash and sound made.

Weapon skins? Only if you like first person a lot.

Drum/Extended mag? Yes. More ammo, less time spent reloading.

Scope? Yes. Sometimes better than stock sights.

Grip? Yes. Better accuracy.

Flashlight? No. Not unless you like screwing around.

Recommended weapons?

The Heavy Revolver a six shot weapon being an instant kill on most lowish players or if they've just been out of a fight, not to mention it can take out police helicopters in one shot. It's an instant favorite for me. Only recommended to those who refuse to miss the broadside of a barn.

The Heavy Pistol a pistol that comes with a red dot scope and able to reach 36 bullet mag. It's more accurate than the SMG but it's semiautomatic.

The Micro SMG a weapon used mainly in drivebys, you're able to use it in cars and bikes. While also being an effective weapon on foot. Cheap and pretty good for getting the job done it's your first choice for car defense.

The Sawed Off a pump action shotgun, able to be used on foot and on bikes. It's a godsend if you can aim straight. It's also free apparently

The Special Carbine a fairly well known weapon design known to be a "G8 b8 r8ed 8/8" it can be equiped with a drum mag and scope to become a fairly deadly weapon on foot.

The Marksman Rifle a semi-automatic Sniper Rifle great for long and medium range boasting fairly high damage. It's for people who can't be bothered: One shotting people, Dealing with people trying to one shot you or if you can't be bothered aiming.

The Homing Launcher a missile launcher allowing free-fire or lock on, it's something every GTA Online player owns. It can take down any helicopter with one shot but don't bother with jets unless it's a Hydra and it's currently hovering.

The Knife a melee weapon boasting a fast attack speed with highish damage it's also able to stealth kill players and NPCs.

- Side notes

The heavy shotgun fires Slug rounds

The Marksman pistol cannot be used in cars or bikes, and occasionally tends to be a two shot rather than one shot kill. It also does NOT get a scope.

Proximity mines are pretty much worse an Stickies in a lot of cases.

Recommended Vehicles
When buying cars, don't buy and sell them till you see fit. It's time consuming and a waste of money. Cars you should aim for are not the expensive ones, but the racing ones.

The Nagasaki BF400 It's an offroad racing/stunt bike able to perform great jumps and do wheelies for long periods of time not to forget it has a better suspension that sports bikes. It's a personal favorite of mine, being probably the only one I'll use and not sell. $95k

The Coil Voltic an electric Super car, being probably the best in my opinion. It has a very fast acceleration time, along with a fair amount of top speed to boot. Therefore you'll be able to make quick getaways and if you collide with a wall you'll be able to get straight back on the road nearly instantly. $250k

The (Armoured) Kuruma an armoured gang car mainly used by a lot of players during heists, but also in lobbies to rack up their K/D this vehicle is cancer on wheels for new players. While it only takes one explosion of any kind to destroy it, it puts bulletproof into serious meaning. You cannot shoot into it unless you've got luck on your side. Unless you want to look like someone who can't play without taking a bullet to the head then I recommend keeping the Kuruma for heists and heists only. $500k~

The Insurgent an armoured military vehicle sporting a hefty six-seven explosive hits before being destroyed. It handles well offroad and has a good top speed for the size it is, it's slightly more respectable to use in Online than the Kuruma but the other person actually has to aim to be able to kill you. $1mil~

Pegasus Vehicles

The Savage is probably the best helicopter you're able to get ingame, next to the Buzzard and Valkyrie. It has a rapid fire explosive cannon and a tiny delay between firing missles allowing you to spam an area with missiles. While it's fairly fragile at times along with its large size it's well worth the 2 million dollars.

The Rhino Tank is a great vehicle for a lone CEO, protection and firepower not to mention people will stay away. costing a million and a half it's expensive but quite the problem solver.

The Insurgent Pick-up is an Insurgent mounted with a gun and has the rear bed area replaced with an open truck bed. The 50cal can tear down Jets and Helicopters alike; as long as you hit them. It can hold upto 9 people so it doubles as a party truck. $1.3mil~

The Dump Truck. Go around in Passive mode and honk at people. It's hillarious

Some kid recommended the Buzzard but it's trash cuz it don't got cannons or rapid fire missles
CEOs

Are you the CEO of a newly formed organisation? Or just looking for tips?
Being a CEO myself I have to watchout for people interfering with my work. Here's what I've learned.

Doing VIP Work can be both hard and sometimes annoying but it's always good to have a few extra hands regardless if you know them or not. Make sure you have something along the lines of speed/protection ofc!

Headhunter
There's two types of targets in this mode, Mobile targets and stationary ones. Regardless you have to kill both. This one can be annoying if you're doing it all on foot. Especially when a player camps a non-mobile target. In my personal opinion the Savage helictoper just makes everything a cake walk. After all your organisation's global player icon is changed to a bull's eye regardless of what vehicle you use. So you can take a few breaths in a tank knowing the approaching player isn't aware you're using a tank. Boom. Average payout $22k - $25k

Hostile Takeover
This one can be an absolute pain to win. Endless and relentless cops (unless you hide from them) and the occasional duo of players moving to steal your briefcase.

LSIA: The most painful one out of them all. Cop spawns left, right and center; not to meantion nearby players can just be a hop skip and a jump away. Recommended tactic? Have a helictoper handy. If none are avalible then grab the case and make a mad dash to the nearest Titan Cargo Plane. Average payout of $16k - $20k

Fort Zancudo: You have to steal a tank. Simple enough isn't it? But it's not. Not if you have no regard for the traffic, as exploding cars can destroy your tank in a mere few blows ontop of the cops ramming you. This one is best done shooting everything any anything. Average payout of $16k - $20k

Altrust Camp: Probably the easiest if you have a Transport helicopter. In and out and the police have a fair drive to reach you. Average payout of $16k - $20k

Sightseer
If you're terrible at any of the hacks I suggest you avoid this. Unless you have a friend to ferry you to each location you'll have to be quick when in a full server. Because once someone kills you, you fail the mission. Average payout of $22k~

Executive Search
This mission requires you to hide in an area for 10 minutes without getting killed. Most of the locations have an underground train station, so grab a bike and
get under there. Most people don't suspect it unless you remain still for 5 seconds you should be fine. Average payout of $25k

Piracy Prevention
This requires you to own a Yacht, and then defend it. Fairly easy to do depending on how many buddies you have helping. Usually you're able to snipe the players on the beach and they're almost unable to see you at the Yacht. Homing launchers, Snipers and a shotgun is recommended for this. Average payout $25k - $30k

Asset Recovery
This requires you to steal upto two cars from a police station and deliver them to a drop off without having them both blow up. I recommend not doing this as the police can hinder your mission drastically. Around $14k - $16k for a single car (will reward $20k - $22k if both are dropped off.)

Haulage
Fairly easy if you have atleast two other friends. A Technical with a mounted gun spawns not far from the trailer that your bodyguards are able to drive and gun. As for if you're alone most people will try to shoot you out. Don't attempt to throw stickies behind you as they will get stuck on the trailer and you will commit suicide. Instead swerve the trailer and get the following player to smash into poles or fall off the road. Average payout $16k - $22k

Airfreight
This one isn't really worth the effort. Average payout $22k

Executive Deathmatch
This allows you to challenge another CEO/VIP and his bodyguards to a battle both teams have to kill each other's CEO ten times while keeping theirs alive.

Warehouses and Shipments

First of all, destorying shipments only earns you 2k per crate. It's not worth the hassle. If a CEO is selling his shipment? Go ahead any p*ss him off by destorying it heh.

Recommended shipment to buy? Two shipments. Not three. you'll save 10k if you do two. Not to meantion it'll be faster than three. After delivering the shipments you can start a VIP work to earn back the cash you spend on the shipment and a little bit more.

Getting banned/banning in GTA Online
How to avoid being banned?
Don't be an idiot first of all. Secondly GTA's banning system is mostly automated along with their support. I've been accused for hacking well over fifty times and apparently "reported" yet I've not been banned. GTA will only ban you if you use game changing files. Mods, cheats or something that even overclocks your computer in some cases. Secondly the greifing one only works when the reported user reaches a certain ammount of reports on that catergory.

Seeing a hacker?
First of all. If you're being destroyed by someone before you can even land a shot or emptying your whole clip into him, he's not a hacker. He's most probably either lagging or you have bad aim.
While hackers do tend to pop up now and then they only last a good week before receiving their first ban (10 day duration). After that if they don't delete their hacks, second ban (30 day duration). If they still didn't learn from that, they just wasted $80 on a game (they're still able to play Single player campaign just not online anymore).

Level 1000+ are most probably level hackers as, by the time someone reaches 1000 they'd probably have realised they've wasted their life.

If there is a hacker in the server giving out free cash, DO NOT accept. As he deposits you money, he can control if you'll get banned or not as, if you earn too much money in a small time period you will be banned and all that money will be taken. I have received hacked money as this guy one said he was giving out free money, I and two other people accepted and went straight upto him, he started making it rain money bags. I sadly (and luckily) didn't receive much as I was much too slow. From then on I realised it was a bad idea and that one of the other players had been banned.

Are you a hacker?
Go back to Call Of Duty. If Call Of Duty is unavalible a Kitchen Knife will be provided.
Clothing tips
Having a set attire
Clothing can be what makes you respectable or just plain ugly. When buying clothes from a store you're able to save what you're currently wearing as an outfit. Walk upto the Store manager and hit space to "edit existing outfits" from there you're able to save or delete outfits. Don't forget to name them!

To equip an outfit simply open the Quick-Interaction-Menu and open Style and cycle though your outfits till you find the one you desire.

As far as I know Watches do not actually work.

A quick sick trick
Ever wanted to look like some FBI dude or Military dirt bag? Well there's some clothings that allow you to wear an armoured vest ontop of them. To equip an armoured vest go to Inventory and hit body armour, from there scroll through the "show armour" tab till you hit the vest you want. While scrolling through armours you should be able to see it appear and change patterns unless you're wearing incompatible clothing. Once you have your armour equiped simply go to your nearest clothes store and save the outfit. Once done that outfit will permanently have an armoured vest, even after you die or otherwise.

Bulletproof helmets help protect against headshots.

If doing a Heist it's recommended to buy a Heavy Utility Vest as it reduces damage and provides a fair amount of armour.
End
Thanks for your time and I believe some of this helped. If you need help with anything or maybe just want an extra friend for your adventures, while I won't be helping strangers and joining their sessions they're free to join me and I'll help them then. So don't be afraid to add me. Think this guide is missing something? A meme perhaps or just general dankness? Or maybe you're just an American sad with your current life and would like to take your anger out on other people? Just pop a comment down.

Regards,

I do not suggest stealing a jet, but stealing a Frogger may work. I did that once and it proves that once you reach the drop off the wanted level is gone and you complete the VIP work without exiting. Stealing a jet? Not recommended because I don't think crashing into the drop off works and parachuting doesn't too

A titan actually spawns in the same hangar you get the briefcase from, before when I was a poor scrub I'd go straight for it after getting the case
SUPER-TANK 7 Mar, 2018 @ 12:16am
Nope, I once literally did what you've said in the guide (Making a Mad Dash to the Titan, which only spawns after level 32, and the cops killed me fast so I went back and got the krurma), which was before I saw this guide. My friend suggests sniping but he's a Marksman and I'm not
SurrexSnek  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 7:36am
That also works, not as fast as stealing a lux jet right after nuking the guy though.

I use armored kuruma for LSIA Hostile Takeover. Luckily no one in the lobby knows what's armored kuruma and doesn't know how to destroy cars

I've heard it was a three strikes and you're out kind of thing

A very good guide that you made there. But i wanna add something: You won't get a ban if you pick up money from a modder. The only thing that will happen is that Rockstar will confiscate the money you received, if they manage to find it out. Thats what i read on their page about modders.
