Basics
Bullets
In this game, you will encounter 2 main types of bullets: energy and physical.

Physical bullets can be shot. They grant a certain number of green stars upon defeating them. Killing the source of a physical bullet does not make the bullet disappear. Activating Hyper Mode does not get rid of those bullets.

Energy bullets cannot be shot. Defeating the source of these bullets will transform every one of them into green stars.

Activating Hyper Mode will transform every energy bullets around QP, and every newly converted bullets (until the end of Hyper) into yellow stars.

If QP gets hit while not being in Hyper Mode, every current energy bullets on the screen turn into grey stars (grey star doesn't grant any points).

Hyper mode
Stars contribute to the Hyper bar.
You can enter Hyper mode when it is filled 100%.
The hyper bar can be filled up to 150%.
The fuller the bar is, the more continue time the Hyper will have.
Getting hit while in Hyper mode deactivates Hyper mode, resets the chain count to 0 and prevents losing a life.
While in Hyper mode, all green stars (desintegrated bullets) turn into small yellow stars (more points).
Activating Hyper Mode will reset your Chain Count back to full time while it is active, and will decay back at normal speed when it is over.

Terms

Main shot: QP's default attack
R-Points: The currency used in the game. The higher your score is for a stage, the more R-Points you'll get (either fail or clear a stage). They're used to buy new formations in the Rbit Room.
Rbit limit: The maximum number of Rbits QP can carry by default is 10
Continue time: The amount of time before your Hyper bar gets depleted
Attack power up: While in Hyper mode, both QP's and Rbits' attack power is increased

Playstyles













Maniac playstyle (max rbits limit increased to 12) is unlocked once the game has been cleared once with each basic styles: Orthodox, Aggressive and Defensive (3 total playthroughs).

Note: Unless specified otherwise, achievements need to be cleared in Arcade mode and CAN be done on Easy mode.

A Glorious Pudding Has Dawned
Complete every achievement in QP Shooting - Dangerous!!
As the name implies, it will be given once you complete all other achievements.

QP Shooting
Clear every stage.
Clear every stage in the game at least once. Can be done on any difficulty, with any formations and on any mode (Arcade / Conquest).

Playstyle
Can be done with any formations and on any mode (Arcade / Conquest).

Orthodox Methods
Clear every stage using Orthodox style.


Pudding Fiend
Clear every stage using Aggressive style.


Guts of Steel
Clear every stage using Defensive style.


She's a Maniac
Clear every stage using Maniac style.



Hyper

Hyper Finisher
Clear the game while getting all possible Hyper Finishes
You need to clear every fight (that ends with a 'BREAKDOWN') with a Hyper. If you succeed, 'HYPER FINISH' will appear on the screen. This includes every boss at the end of each stage, but also minibosses:
  • Stage 2 - Big tree
  • Stage 3 - Magic Hat
  • Stage 4 - Waruda (left wing, right wing and core all needs to be hyper finished)
  • Stage 5 - Alien Spaceship (both fight sequences need to be hyper finished)
Note: Last phase of Stage 5 fight counts as an automatic Hyper Finish.

No Hyper
Clear the game without using Hyper Attacks.
Clear the whole game without ever pressing the Hyper button. Using it even once will void this achievement. It's time to go MLG and dodge all those bullets.
Note: Last phase of Stage 5 fight is considered a Hyper Finish, but will not break this achievement.


Dangerous!!
Clear the game without losing any lives.
Mind you, it doesn't say 'without getting hit', so you can soak in hits with Hyper mode. Either go Defensive style or Orthodox style for this one.

Elusive
Needs to be on Normal and higher. Can be done with any formations and on any mode (Conquest / Arcade). Getting hit in Hyper mode will void this achievement.

Elusive 1
Clear Stage 1 without getting hit on Normal difficulty or higher.


Elusive 2
Clear Stage 2 without getting hit on Normal difficulty or higher.


Elusive 3
Clear Stage 3 without getting hit on Normal difficulty or higher.


Elusive 4
Clear Stage 4 without getting hit on Normal difficulty or higher.


Elusive 5
Clear Stage 5 without getting hit on Normal difficulty or higher.



Chains
Needs to be on Normal and higher. Can be done with any formations and on any mode (Conquest / Arcade). Getting hit in Hyper mode or not collecting stars for 4 seconds reset your chain.

Getting one of these achievement means you would get their Elusive counterpart at the same time. To keep those chains running, you need to avoid any hit.

You also need to avoid those moments in the stage where you sit there, waiting for ennemies to spawn. This can be countered by either waiting a bit before defeating ennemis or, in the case ennemy spawn is triggered by the death of another previous ennemy (stage 5 satellites for example), by 'kiting' the stars so you can reset your chain gauge while ennemies spawn.


Chain Keeper 1
Clear Stage 1 without your Chain being interrupted on Normal difficulty or higher.


Chain Keeper 2
Clear Stage 2 without your Chain being interrupted on Normal difficulty or higher.


Chain Keeper 3
Clear Stage 3 without your Chain being interrupted on Normal difficulty or higher.


Chain Keeper 4
Clear Stage 4 without your Chain being interrupted on Normal difficulty or higher.


Chain Keeper 5
Clear Stage 5 without your Chain being interrupted on Normal difficulty or higher.


Master of Chains
Clear a stage with a Chain of 10,000 or above.
Only your MAX Chain counts toward this one. You can reach 10,000 chains and lose it afterwards. As long as you complete the stage, you will get this.

If you're working towards Chain Keeper 5 on Normal, you should reach 10,000 chains during Sweet Breaker's fight.


R-Points
Rbit Master
Learn all formations.
Obtained after buying all available formations. You will need a total of 25,000 R-Points to buy every formations.

Rbit Farmer
Reach maximum R-Points.
Ontained after reaching 99,999 R-Points.
Don't worry. All this time spent working on the other achievements should grant you enough R-Points to eliminate the need of farming for them.

Au Natural
Clear the game using Natural formation.
The Steam API name for this achievement is literally 'ACH_CLEAR_UNARMED'.
Using the natural formation will prevent you from using other formations (even though you select them in your arsenal). Clear the whole game while being unarmed (no Rbits for poor QP)

Restricted formations
Choose 3 formations from the list and finish the game.

Formless
Clear the game using +0 Formations.

This guide is nowhere near to be completed.
There are still achievements to work on (actually clear them) and there may be additionnal possible formations for the formation based achievements.

For more information regarding the formation achievements, you have done remarkably well, though there are 3 missing ones. According to the game code, the only things missing are these: Shield needs to be added under Special Control; Sword and Bringer needs to be added under Rotating Formations. Everything else is accurate and there should be no more inaccuracies beyond these missing ones. :terminated:

In my experience, an easier way to understand whether you can use Conquest mode or not is this: If the achievement says "Clear every stage" Conquest mode is fine as well. If it says "Clear the game" it has to be done in Arcade mode.
