Claymore was added in the 4.2 mid season patch giving the the first trap gadget to the attackers.This gadget can help you secure your flanks if used properly so here is a small guide to improve your claymore placing skills

Uses of a Claymore

I tend to use it in three ways but with a little creativity it has unlimited uses

To block major doorways and windows that defenders use to flank the attacking team

Common areas inside the building which defenders tend to use or cross

Hiding your claymore using structures (This thing is under thought process i'll give you guys a basic idea of this here and after that you guys improve this and share it to the community)

Doorway and Window

For this you gotta have a bit of map and game knowledge to find the popular spots

For doorway lay it down like a kapkan trap

For windows place it in the spot were defenders land when they vault the window

Traping common passage areas

Same as above map and game knowlege

Try to make your claymore as hidden as possible or place it at peak time i.e after placing the defuser or while securing the container

The fun way

No idea just saw a enemy get a kill with it and was a neat claymore placement so lets improve upon this

In this i made a hole in the wall and placed a claymore with the laser optic facing the stairways so defenders who use the stairway find it difficult to spot the claymore and also step on the laser when they rush to flank

A trick I use is by aiming at the door frame(On doors, duh) so only one laser peeks out, almost looks like a kapkan trap and people fall for it

I found out that you can run sideways in front of claymore with 100hp + heavy armor + plate. You will get hit by 95 damage. Just FYI

What I mean by clientside lasers: Say you make a hole in a wall and put a claymore there. on yoru screen the lasers perfectly go out, and you think yoru flank is well protected.Due to clientside lasers, the claymore might not go off even if it looks like someone passes the lasers. Its a lot like smoke grenades.
