Bad ass babes is a video game using live action sprites and features a cheesy, B grade plot and over the top sexy moves.

PLOT: Earth has been invaded by an alien race. Men are being captured and turned into mutant soldiers whilst the women are being herded like cattle to be used for the alien breeding program.

To survive the multiple births and to ensure the hybrid experiments are a success the aliens endow the women with special strength and power.

A few of these women are rising up against the invasion and plan to take on the aliens and anyone else in their way. They must battle the enemy to join the resistance group known as the Bad ass babes.

This game is the first of hopefully a series of games. This game features:

-cheesy and fun story mode
-real, live action digitized characters- just like the glory days of Mortal Kombat.
-sexy babes, players flash their bodies and use their enhanced alien powers against the enemies
-multiple playable characters (5 in total available in story mode)
-2 player local co-op mode
-weapons that can be picked up and used against enemies
-environmental objects that can be used as an emergency weapon
-vehicle levels
-on rail FPS levels
-boss battles
-multiple action packed levels (including alternate branches) as well as a variety of bonus modes
-a RPG level up system where you get stronger and more health as you beat more enemies
- character specific endings

This game is made for PC, no mouse is required to play within game but keyboard is required (until you have configured game controllers within game)


Default controls are (for player 1)

Arrow keys= movement
A button= attack
D button= jump
F button = block
X button = move list (press this when idle in game to display players move lists)
S button= inventory (press when idle in game to display purchased items, press attack button to select and drop item)

Enter= start/pause
f12= screenshot


You can configure these keys in game menu. Main menu has a control options sub menu. Here you can turn gamepad on and off (gamepad buttons need to be configured in this menu) Controllers do not auto configure.


Game defaults to windowed mode 960x480. In video settings this can be changed.

These screens are located in game menu ‘how to play’ you can watch or skip each page by pressing attack button.


There is also buttons for item menu and move list. Check main menu controller settings to configure all controls.

Biggest tip: experiment and mix up your combat strategy- each character has a different combat approach. Remember to try mixing normal combos attacks with: charge attacks, jump attacks, run attacks and rise attacks

Each character has their benefits and weaknesses and all can juggle enemies with the right combinations. They can also pick up weapons and objects in game (some objects can be thrown also as a weapon)

Blocking is a good way to draw crowds of enemies in, you can then perform special attack (attack and jump button pressed at once) to do a multi directional move which will then knock them away.

Gun levels:

• You can hold down attack to shoot or press attack repeatedly
• You can activate a shield by pressing block button
• Aim for the head to kill enemies quicker

Bike levels:

• You can hold down attack to shoot or press attack repeatedly
• You can still dodge in this mode
• You can shoot backwards and forwards
• You can still run in this mode
• Block button activates brakes to move to left of screen quickly

Portals:

• Mystics portals can be taken to unique levels and situations. Each time you play try and experiment with different paths

My controller doesn’t work! You need to initially use keyboard to configure gamepad button configuration in the game menu (this is why game says partial controller support as its not simply plug and play)

I configured controls wrong and can’t recall what button is what! (Where the game is saved on your computer there should be a save subfolder
(should be in: Steam\steamapps\common\Bad ass babes\Saves)
in that there will be 'bad ass.cfg' file. Delete this file and it should revert controls to normal. (If this doesn’t work then delete all txt files in this subfolder)

Since latest game update the screen is really small ! This can be changed in video settings in game menu. Alternatively delete ALL your save files as they will be likely corrupted and need to be deleted manually- most cases should be deleted automatically with update.

Example: Delete all files and sub files in this folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bad ass babes\Saves

There is weird coloured boxes/text all over characters and objects !
Same as above... this can be switched off in debug settings from menu. If these appear on without you turning them on then your save files are corrupted from game engine incompatibility since a update and the saves need to be deleted. delete ALL your save files they will be likely corrupted and need to be deleted manually- most cases should be deleted automatically with update.

Example: Delete all files and sub files in this folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bad ass babes\Saves

if this is only issue you can alternatively turn off the debug settings in options menu go to system options, debug settings, then disable all of these options (as game engine is updated and changed there are new changes to debug options etc and the game engine wont read your old save file the same way anymore and wont have these settings disabled by default)

I cant play online with other people ! The game is local multiplayer only. This is a restriction the game engine I used (Openbor) has. The game is designed to feel like a arcade game so it is best to have local coop anyways. T here are third party apps like Parsec which enable a form of online play.

Will this work on my PC ? what are the minimal requirements ? The game engine I use (OpenBOR) could run on a Win 95 machine (ive been told ). I couldn't tell you exactly minimal specs because it really depends on the game. There isn't a way to benchmark and test it at this stage (that I am aware of) I have it running on some old laptops (made as bar top arcades) and they have windows xp and average spec.


I only have 3 lives since game update ! No you have a total of 30 lives... you have 3 lives but 10 continues (press start button when you run out to use a credit)

My screenshots have text all over them ! the game engines default screenshot button is f12, I know this conflicts with certain Steam features so I will be changing in a future update. This CAN be changed in controller options in game

How do I remove all the censored bits ? You cant and this game cant be modified to do so either. The aim of the game is not to be too excessive with nudity and the current level is suitable for the tone of game.

The censorship is around keeping it R rated and not X so that can be acceptable for distribution. all female genitalia is censored if it is to show clitor*s or any vag*nal movement or sexualised acts. All sexualised acts showing implied penetration are censored, all erect pen*s is also censored (until it drops off enemy and breaks through censorship and becomes a humanoid walking pen*s creature (and no longer takes the form of a erect pen*s attached to someone and is more of a comedic creature)

Hope this clarifies my thought process regarding censorship. These censors are hardcoded directly to images and no there is no hacks or cheats that would ever remove them.

Intent is not to feel like a pornographic game but more like a grindhouse, cheesy film like they used to make in the 80s and early 90s
