KeGGeR Corellian YG Survival

Beskrivelse
Thanks for checking out my Corellian YG inspired ship! I wanted to build something that was useful, but compact. I also wanted to challenge myself on being able to have a ship capable of atmospheric exit and reentry with no hydrogen! I'm a fan of Star Wars, but didn't want to create yet another Millennium. I like the utilitarian nature of the Corellian ships and settled on the YG being something I could make practical for Space Engineers!

This ship has two jump drives, which for its size means it has quite a large jump range. It has a Good deal of cargo space along with a hydrogen tank which will allow for hydrogen trading if you so desire! Any of the Cargo Containers or hydrogen tanks are interchangeable based on how YOU want to use the ship. Just keep in mind, if you have too much heavy cargo, you won't be leaving atmosphere!

I used a small Antenna on the top attached by rotor to save space and power. One side of the YG has a ramp with no airlock. This is meant to be used in atmosphere, otherwise you'll vent the entire ship. The other side of the YG has a simple airlock which will allow you to maintain your pressurized ship but exit out into space.

Enjoy and have fun!

One thing to note is that rotors may or may not give you trouble, depending on the current status of the game. I know that as the host, I don't have issues with the rotors at all, however multiplayer can be abit more...adventurous!

Ah well yes. Imagine it's a bit like flying a helicopter. Banking helps you turn and pulling back helps you slow down.

i'm pretty sure it has to do with the lack of atmospheric thrusters (forward and sideways)

lock the rotors

looks nice, but pretty much uncontrolable in atmosphere

Yes indeed, and I like that people are modfying it as they see fit. In all honesty, this is not my first iteration of this ship either :)

Ahhh Corellia Shipyards imo best business model in the Star Wars Universe. Glad to see some inter-changeable ships cropping up more frequently.

@Shepard:
Made a version of this ship, but all credits go to you.
Take a look when you've got time and feel like it.
I really like this craft :)

I made a version of this ship with a refinery and three assemblers instead of the large containers, and a gattling turret on top + 2 anti-personal on the bottom.

This ship is amazing :D

If an assembler was added with enough resources in a cargo container for a refinery, it could indeed be a good starter ship! I've had a few iterations of this ship and might play around with having an assembler located somewhere :) I suppose one cargo container could be removed and replaced with an assembler which would also allow for room to add modules. Alternatively, simply throwing the materials needed to create an assembler and a refinery might do just nicely!
