To find the Small Chainsaw you must complete the Scoop mission 'Out of Control' In this mission Frank is informed by Otis that the Space Rider machine in Wonderland plaza has gone out of control, and Frank must go and find a way to fix it. Upon the player reaching the roller coaster a clown know as Adam will confront Frank and attacks him for trying to stop the ride.


Do keep in mind that this fight is TOUGH! and WAY to mean for the 1st day in my opinion but the way Dead Rising usually plays out is it being hard as nails playthrough 1 and you'd kick ass in playthrough 2. Anyways I'd recommend the Japanese Tourists Scoop for helping with this Psycho, as Adam will never attack survivors unless they get in his attacks. It's best to give em' guns and let them light Adam up!

Upon defeating Adam he drops 1 small chainsaw on his corpse, but you need to interact with the control panel to spawn the next one and meet a new survivor Greg! You'd want to follow Greg as he shows a shortcut leading to Paradise plaza from Wonderland VERY handy in the late game.


For those who still have trouble with Adam follow these steps:

Out Of Control Is best when you are level around level 10-15 and great if you are any higher!

The scoop becomes live at Day 1 9PM and ends at Day 2 11AM use these times to your adavantage and start the fight a little later on to make sure you are in best fit for the fight.

The old technique I used to use was abuse quick step drinks which you can make in the food court with yogurt, Milk, Wine and all sorts of goodness consult the Dead Rising Wika for more info on that.

The weapons don't really shine untill you chose to buff them with books. Usually a hit with the Small chainsaw will insta kill a zombie and kill psycho's in 4-6 hit's. But when buffed with books they are EXTRA DURABLE!!! and last you 2160 hits!!!!! Go and introduce to the nearest zombie eh?

You'd want to start off by going into the bookstore in Paradise Plaza called 'Bachman's BookPorium' (near the sport store and childrens toy store.) And pick up 2 books: Engineering and Entertainment (Follow images for info on finding them.)
