MCM is a terrible game; it isn't fun, it isn't funny, and it isn't interesting. With that said, it offers an easy 100% achievement completion, a cheap boost to the size of your game library, and 3 "free" card drops.

I have 5.7 hours on the game, 2.5 were idle - I'm at 100% achievement completion, and at the time of writing I am ranked #10 player worldwide. In the follow guide you will learn how to suffer through the game and complete all of the achievements as quickly and easily as possible - typically in under three hours.

The Basics


MCM is an online multiplayer 3rd person shooter. It features 3 mid-size maps, 6 character sprites with multiple color choices, and 6 weapons. There are drivable vehicles with four different sprites and identical function.

Gameplay consists of a free-for-all battle between players and AI, with one kill equaling one point - more points put you higher on the leaderboard, and allow you to use more sprites or color options for your character. There is one AI per server when active.

Randomly occuring competition "events" add variety to game play, and an opportunity to earn bonus points. There are several event varieties; all are timed, and reward points vary.

All weapons are accessible to all players at all times, and each has a different ammo capacity. There are no ammo pickups; ammo is refilled at every respawn. There is no melee combat.

Controls are standard shooter; WASD for movement, R for reload, Spacebar for jump, numbers/scrollwheel for weapons, and mouse for aim and fire. Left click fires, right click zooms.

Weapons & Vehicles


The weapons and vehicles in MCM leave a lot to be desired. Thankfully, while they are functionally different, different weapons do not effect your run speed or jump ability. You will run just as fast with a pistol as with a rocket launcher. All vehicles are functionally identical.

The skins for the pistol, shotgun, and machinegun are nearly identical, so you'll only know which one you have in your hand based on the poorly-placed weapon selector at the top of your HUD. I found myself looking at the ammo capacity for reference between the Shotgun and the Machinegun. The Sniper and RPG skins look to have been "borrowed" from vastly different games than the other skins; you'll know when you're holding them based on appearance.

The Machinegun is the best all-around primary weapon, and the easiest way to get kills. The shotgun is also effective, at close range or to avoid a timely reload for the Machinegun. The RPG is a one-hit kill on full health enemies, but is difficult to employ and should be saved for vehicles. The Pistol is useless, and the Sniper Rifle nearly so, but it can be used effectively on slow AI or high-ping opponents who cannot move.

PISTOL:
The pistol has a low ROF, 10rd magazine, limited range, poor accuracy, and large supply of ammo. You will NEVER use it, so don't worry about it.

SHOTGUN:
The shotgun has a low ROF, 10rd magazine, medium range, OK accuracy, and a large supply of ammo. A headshot from close up is hard to achieve, but is an instant kill. Body shots do about 20% damage. The physics of the spread vary based on movement, and scoping in. There is a high shot-dropoff and the weapon cannot be used at range.

MACHINEGUN:
The machinegun has a high ROF, 32rd magazine, medium range, OK accuracy, and a large supply of ammunition. Running any spraying a full magazine while within 10ft of an opponenet will result in 4-5 bullets hitting. By stopping completely, "scoping in" and firing in bursts, you may kill a full-health opponent with one magazine. Each hit does about 10% damage. Expect to get into "spray wars" where you and another player dance around each other in a race to reload.

SNIPER RIFLE:
The sniper rifle has a low ROF, 5rd magazine, long range, high accuracy, and a limited supply of ammunition. Two shots to the head kill a full-health opponent, three or four to the torso. This gun is useless; running and gunning, you cannot hit enemies - at range, both you and the enemy must be standing still and scoped in to land a hit. The accuracy is high, but the effective, usable accuracy is low.

RPG:
The RPG has low ROF, 1rd magazine, long range, high accuracy, and a very limited supply of ammunition. It is a double-edged sword, but you'll see it used a lot. You get 6 rockets per spawn, and if you play your cards right you'll destroy cars in 2 hits and players in 1 hit. The rockets have some hang time - shooting a distant target, you'll miss if it moves. Most players rocket spam and hope for the best; they're easy targets for a machinegun rush (splash damage is low).

VEHICLES:
Vehicles are functionally identical. They handle identically (bad) despite there being several sprites, which consist of Generic Red Supercar, Generic Black Import Sports Car, Generic Blue Domestic Sports Car, and Police Cruiser Mustang. Enter vehicles by looking at them and pressing E. Vehicles are controlled with the WASD keys and spacebar brake. The camera angle cannot be changed with the mouse; just follow-behind when moving forward. Hit "S" for reverse, and the camera angle slowly flips as you accelerate. Hitting an opponent at 50% speed or higher will kill them, but it will also sharply stop your vehicle. Hitting an opponent in a vehicle does no damage, but will result in A) one car, yours or theirs, slowly flipping over, or B) one car, yours or theirs, flying into the air. The handling is purely 50s Caddillac - fast in a straight line, but god help you if you want to take a corner or turn around. Vehicles are important for two types of competitive events; Driver and Destruction.
Gameplay Strategy: EVENT POINTS


Events occur randomly throughout the game. You must play on, or create an "Event Room" (server) to be able to access events. You can select this in the options for starting a room, or select only rooms/servers from the droplist which are marked "(ER)". There must be at least two player in a room for an event to start.

Events occur as frequently as 2 minutes apart, or as infrequently as once every half hour. There is an achievement for winning a single event, and the point rewards are key to completing the BOSS (1000 score) achievement quickly.

Events reward the winning player with between 40 and 150 points, on top of whatever points are gained from individual kills during the event. There is seemingly no rhyme or reason to the number of points awarded, other than that they tend to be higher on servers with more players. Ties will result in all winning players being rewarded.

You will recieve a 10 second countdown before a random event begins. The type of event will not be specified until the event begins. A good rule of thumb is to try to find a car and get into it before the event begins - this will help to win every type of events; read below for details.

DRIVER:
In this three minute event, the goal is to drive for as long as possible. Driving periods are recorded in roughly 30 second segments which each earn 1 "event point", for a total of 6 possible points per event. Your vehicle must be moving to earn points, and unless you are in a car or next to a car when the event starts, you will likely only be able to earn 5 points. The best way to win these events is to drive wide laps around the outside of the map - speeding cars are hard to destroy with rockets or bullets, and the poor handling of vehicles is not conducive to anything but wide, slow turns. When you see the countdown, get to the nearest car to win this event.

DESTROYER:
In this three minute event, the goal is to destroy as many vehicles as possible; occupied or unoccupied. Each vehicle counts as 1 "event point", and the potential high score is limited only be how many vehicles spawn during the time period (typical winning scores are 4-7). Learn your vehicle spawn points, and try to cover multiple from one position. Let yourself be killed to replenish your rockets when empty, or spray cars with machinegun fire. When you see the countdown, get to the nearest car and you will have an advantage in this event.

KILLER:
In this three minute event, the goal is to kill as many opponent players or AI as possible. Each kill counts as 1 "event point" and the potential high score is almost unlimited (typical winning scores are between 7-12). In MCM it's tempting to die frequently to replenish ammo - there's no penalty for death, after all. In "Killer" you'll need to play more conservatively; try waiting for two players to damage each other, then rush in and spray your machinegun for 2 kills. When you see the countdown, get to the nearest car and you will have an advantage in this event by running down AI or slow players.

WEALTHY:
In this three minute event, the goal is to collect as many coins as possible. Each coin counts as 1 "event point" and 12 spawn around the map (typical winning score is 5-8). Coins appear as human-sized rotating gold circles which hover about a foot above the ground - players walk or drive through them to collect them. Learn each maps spawn points for coins; they don't change. Once collected, coins will stay with that player regardless of deaths - this event may be effectively won in the first 30 seconds, but the countdown will always be 3 minutes. AI will attempt to collect coins. When you see the countdown, get to the nearest car and you will have an advantage in this event by quickly collecting coins.
Gameplay Strategy: COMBAT POINTS


Combat in MCM is deceptively complex due to how simple the game is, and how broken it is.

1) There is no penalty for your own death, nor is there an advantage to long kill streaks. A single kill results in a single point, regardless of how frequently or how many times you have died. Each respawn results in your ammo and health being replenished (there are no health or ammo drops) so it can be to your advantage to die frequently in regular combat.

2) Maps are big, and most weapons are close range. The sniper rifle is useless against moving targets, so chances are you'll see your enemy coming before you're in effective range to kill them. Standing still and scoping in with the Machinegun is a good way to kill opponents who are rushing you. Fire small bursts for an advantage, and flick your shotgun if you're out of ammo (it's quicker than reloading).

3) AI kills count, and AI is bad. In open maps, spawn camping AI is a good way to boost your score. They move slowly and may be picked with a sniper rifle, or hit with a car. AI can also be used as a "meat shield" against opponent players. Sometimes a well placed rocket can get you two splash damage kills if an opponent player and enemy AI are damaging each other.

4) Rocket spam isn't effective, but EVERYONE is doing it. You'll run into people rocket spamming on every server. While a direct hit is a kill, they're slow-moving and innacurate, and splash damage is low. Rush rocketeers with your Machinegun and you'll likely kill several opponents before one of them kills you.

5) Jump jump jump! Jumps are HIGH in this game, and don't effect your aim much more than running does. When you're in a close firefight, jump and spray down with your Machinegun. If your opponent is jumping, flick to your shotgun and stay still. To avoid fire from a distance, bunnyhop - you will not be hit.

6) Car explosions have massive splash damage. Unlike RPG explosions, vehicles explosions will often kill players and other vehicles nearby. Use this to your advantage buy blowing up overturned vehicles, or targeting vehicles that opponent players are rushing towards. Most players are attracted to cars (despite how poorly they perform outside events) and this is an easy way to get multikills. Be careful; it's easy to blow YOURSELF up.

DEATH: Die :(
Very easy. Die in-game. Get killed by an opponent, AI, or yourself.


DESTROYER: Destroy a Car
Very easy. Find a car, empty or occupied, and destroy it with bullets or rockets.


FIRST: Kill One Enemy
Very easy. Get your first kill - AI or opponent player.


KILLER: Kill 10 Enemies
Very easy. Kill ten enemies - AI or opponent players.


EVENT MASTER: Win One Event
Medium. Win an Event - they occur randomly; some are easier than others.


MASTER: 100 Score
Easy. Kill 100 players, or win Events for points. Event wins (40-150 points each) count.


BOSS: 1000 Score
Hard. Kill 1000 players, or win Events for Points. Event wins (40-150 points each) count.

Boss is easy sometimes, once I saw someone get over 6000 points from one event to destroy cars. They only destroyed two cars.

Hey, that'll do it. Had that issue with an unturned server the other day. I kept trying to launch it but it would get to 100% and never appear on the server list... I had Note++ open from when I changed a few settings - it was saved, but still open.
