Intro
Hiya, community! Today I bring to you a new way of experiencing Dark Souls: Samurai Quest!
Samurai Quest consists of summoning 5 red phantoms (Using an ember and dried finger to summon them all, use a password so you make sure you get everyone and not randoms) and using a Tree of a Seed of Giants to explore the level, while the host creates PvP and PvE events. If you want to use Cheat Engine to script PvP bosses, go ahead, but be wary of softbans!
More Information
Everyone gets two lives by default - one when you are summoned, the next when you get resummoned. During the campaign you will have certain safe zones where you can use warmth or estus to heal, and resummon those who died and have a life left. At the end of each "level", or campaign, everyone who survived gets Skill Points, which you can use to equip a new ring (one skill point) or change classes (multiple skill points). Everyone starts as the Samurai class.
Classes
Dragoon - Spears, polearms, pyromancy (2 skill points)
Strongman - Heavy weapons and miracles (2 skill points)
Master of Weapons - Uses up to six weapons, including any form of magic, BUT has to constantly switch between weapons equipped. (6 skill points)
Spellslinger - Uses magic of any kind (3 skill points)
Monk - Uses fist weapons and miracles (2 skill points)
Reaper - Uses scythes and hexes of any kind (2 skill points)
Heroes of Legend - Cosplay builds (4 skill points)
Samurai - Katanas and Bows (Base class)
Honor
Everyone is bound by honor in Samurai Quest. During safe zones, a summon may request a duel with another summon. If they win, they gain a skill point. If they lose, they lose a life. However, if you use the prostration gesture on low health/1 hit, you may beg for mercy. Your opponent does not have to allow it, but if they give you mercy they still get the skill point and a life is not lost. However, you become dishonored, which I will cover in the next section.
Invasions and Dishonor
If you become dishonored - through mercy from a duel, accidentally teamkilling another red, or another way the host deems unhonorable - you are an enemy to the group. You are allowed to run ahead of the group and set up ambushes, or stay with the group and be in danger of death. If you have less than 5 summons, you may get invaded. If you get invaded, you may use estus to defeat the invader if you deem it necessary. OR you could host a fight club, 1 v 1, until the invader is defeated. But if they start attacking everyone, just go nuts :).
Ending
I hope you enjoyed the guide/gamemode, and have a blast! - Riley

Seems a bit complicated. but not a bad idea
altough getting dishonored seems a bit hard the host really needs to use "or another way the host deems unhonorable" or there needs to be some extra rule for dishonoring. altough i would like to see this in practice
Otz

No, way better. And I actually did redruns with another youtuber before Otz created Redruns.
