Teams

This first section focuses on what teams you may want to be in FM17.

My first suggestion is Leicester City. After a sublime BPL season in 2015/16 Leicester won the Premier League(incase you missed it) and therefore qualify for the Champions League groupstage. In addition to this they gained quite the finanical windfall and as I right this they have broken their transfer record twice with intention to do so again(31/08/2016). Having kept Mahrez and Vardy through the window and adding quality throughout Leicester could be a good side for you to take through and with the cash to spend (I assume) you could quite easily make the adaquete additions to challenge for Champions League glory.

Following this is Everton. Big news on Merseyside was that Everton were to be taken over at the start of the summer and with that they have brought large finances. This has already included the signing of Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams. The big loss for Everton was youngster John Stones for £47m but there is reason be hopeful. From previous additions many will be aware of the potential of players such as Mason Holgate, Luke Garbutt and Brendan Galloway (WBA loan) and with finances available it should be a good challenge to get a top 6 finish with the Toffees.

My last Premier League suggestion is Middlesborough. They have added quality over the summer and are a team that look like they will excite fans throughout the BPL season, so why not give them a go. They are a side who look relatively strong and could quite easily finish mid table. If you are more of a shoe string budget player then head over to Burnley. Its well documentared that Sean Dyche has been strapped for cash over the years, so can you bring in low budget quality to keep the Clarets up.

Looking down the leagues it would be difficult to miss out Bolton Wanderers. Admist all the finacial troubles they were relegated to League 1 last term but seem prepared to bounce straight back up. WIth a good squad available to them can you take them up and establish them back in the Championship.

At the other end of the table, AFC Wimbeldon are at their highest point ever after securring promotion to league 1. Theyve struggled to start the season and look like early relegation contenders.. Testing your managerial creditials here could be a challenging but entertaining challenge.

This year is the first year that I feel confident to reccommend playing with the team I support. Gillingham have strengthened well over the summer after disappointing finish to last season, missing out on the play offs. Scott Wagstaff, Jamie O'Hara, Paul Konchesky, Jonathan Bond (loan) and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (loan) have all joined adding championship quality to the side. I expect the likes of Emmanuel 'Paddy' Osadebe, Max Ehmer, Ryan Jackson and Bradley Dack(should he stay) to have increased ability. Whilst offering youth talent such as Darren 'DJ' Oldaker and Elliott List (former Crystal Palace) who I hope will be able to rated highly enough to impact on the squad.
Players
A part everyone loves and I am sure I will edit this as the season progresses closer towards the release date of FM17 (4th November).

My first tip for any premier league side in the Champions League is James Ward-Prowse. I love this kid so much and I cannot see why amongst the Saints exodus over the last few years, he is still there. In the last 2 editions of the game he has been available from anything between £25- 40 m. He set pieces ability his very good and i hope his stats will reflect this as he has been compared by some as a knock-off David Beckham. Operatable from centre midfield or out on the right, he can be easily retrained to any attacking position and on my FM16 save aged 33, retrained to a RB to help defensive injuries;.
