Items and Where to Find Them
By Dr. Skelington
This guide is a list of items, and where they are prevalently found. Hopefully this helps, and can be brought up while in the game. Also as a side note I will be updating this with any information that I receive, either from my own time, or from those who might have helpful information.

FOOD
I will update this later with a full list of food locations, but for now I will start off with the most important items.

For the entirety of the game, I have survived on two food items almost exclusively. These items are Berry Juice and Sauteed Beef with Peas. Both items are easily accesable, very helpful, and can be found/created very early on. The only items you need for these two are: blackberries, bottle of water, can of corned beef, and can of peas.

  • Bottle of Water
    1. Almost everywhere
      • Camp (in buildings around the map)
      • Bunker
      • Any City Missions

  • Blackberries
For early game access, the very first mission has one or two blackberry bushes. It might be a good idea to harvest as many as you can from this level in the beginning.
    1. "Hungry Pelicans" Mission
    2. "Turkey with Stuffing" Mission
    3. "The Rival Gang" Mission
    4. Any Swamp or Forest Missions

  • Can of Corned Beef
This definitely the easiest to find of the food items.
    1. "Strength in Unity" Mission (You get 10 from this mission as a requirement for completion)
    2. "Kenji's Great Tips" Mission
    3. "Prove Your Worth" Mission
    4. Most City Missions

  • Can of Peas
This will most likely be the hardest item to collect in bulk, as, unlike the can of corned beef, no missions require you to find can of peas, and they are much less abundant.
    1. "Damn Allergies!" Mission
    2. "The Rival Gang" Mission
    3. "The Exile" Mission

Trapping Rabbits w/ Example

This is where I have my base setup.

Along with a map so you can better understand the location. Note that there are a limited number of exits/entrance pathways available. (Sorry for the lack of detail. I will do some fancy stuff with paint later.)

Here is one of the side locations. It is important to have these locations farther from your camp. The reason being that rabbits can spawn outside of closer walls and make them totally useless.

Make sure that the sides are fully sealed, as any openings can be used by rabbits. Also it helps to have a watchtower set, as, for some reason, the watchtowers seem to trap the rabbits easier than just walls.

When trapped, this makes the rabbits easy hunting and they will be within a protected area.

DR. SKELINGTON'S QUICK TIPS
  • A quick way to farm the goods in the bunker, is to activate a quest from Kovak, and, once the quest has started, escape and use the "return to camp" button in order to leave the quest, and re-enter the bunker. Upon arrival, all loot will be reset for the taking.

  • Taking a stroll through the forest is a great way to gain experience (killing zombies) and gathering many common ingredients (big pieces of wood, medicinal herbs, shard of flint, sticks, etc.) Doing so is also quicker than traveling to a quest area and waiting through loading screens.

  • Often when you return from missions (especially during later levels) you will come home to find a rabid animal or zombie attacking your defences, or buildings. Since firing a gun in your camp, which is likely surrounded by zombies, would be a poor choice, it would be wise to have a bow or good melee weapon in your chest in the bunker so you can quickly retrieve it for action.

  • Resource spawns in the camp area are generally consistent.
    1. Flint can always be found in the dried out lake/pond areas.
    2. Flowers are rare, but most commonly found in the raised area at the North end of the map. Kenji will be a good indicator that you are in the right place.
    3. Saltpeter is a little strange in that it is a rare spawn, but usually can be found on the VERY edge of the map.
    4. Coal can be constantly found in the train cars, but you will need to lockpick the cars. So far I have only every found resources in the orange-yellow cars, and never in the blue cars.

  • The "Night Walkers" or "Screamers" or "Long Clawed Lungy Buddies", or whatever they are called are very annoying. Constantly shine light on them. If you can make lanterns in your camp area it will help you deal with them eventually.

  • Ways To Kill Boomers:
    • Insist on excessive invasion of the boomers private space. As the shy creature it is, Boomers will tend to be unable to comprehend social interaction, and explode from stress and anxiety.
    • Run past the Boomer with a large crowd of zombies behind you. Once again, the lack of social capabilties force the Boomer into an uncomfortable situation where they are exposed to a great number of their peers. This causes truama and explosive decompression.
      • As a side note for this one: Make sure you get REALLY close to the boomer as you run past. The closer you get, the more uncomfortable it becomes. Sometimes if you are too far away you can turn back and run by again. Just make sure you are far enough away when the stress gets to the poor guy.
    • Shoot him from a distance. Kind of rude, but sometimes you really don't want be around those socially awkward guys. Just make some fingerguns and shoot them his way. The sudden reaction that someone is acknowledging his existence will often set him off anyway.
CREDITS
Disclaimer: I did my best to translate and copy the list and information found on this site:
http://games-blog.de/how-to-survive-2-itemliste/4607/
Which is all in german or something close to it. Most of the items were put through my knowledge of German, and failing that, the google translate system. If any corrections are needed, please give me a heads up on what to change.

During the Early Access period I made it up to level 27, and right now I am very low level, so this list will not contain some of the newly added material, or anything that can I only be obtained past the lv. 27 quests.

Thanks,
Dr. Skelington

Anyone able to find a guide in trick or treat mission?
Dr. Skelington  [author] 21 Apr, 2018 @ 10:03am
In the ditches around the map. There should be some south of the starting tower. I think maybe three spawn in there, but I don't know their respawn rate. Those are where I got my first ones.
