Fine, what is this?

You remember that player expression mod I made for the BL2 Vault Hunters (or at least for the ones on the workshop)? Yeah, this is basically the same but with the extra features of TFA VOX.

Exactly what extra features does this have have over the Player Expression version?

This version also has:

  • Item pickup lines.
  • Health pickup lines.
  • Low health sounds (actually just a heartbeat sound to (vaguely) mimic FFYL, same sound for each character).
  • Callout wheel. Including basic things like "agree" and "disagree", as well as things like the option to challenge other people (pretty much just the duel request lines). You may want to listen to them before using them with other players though.
  • Lines for a few gestures (I know I could have done that with PES, I was just never happy with the results).
  • The VOX option to turn any of these off if you don't like them! Yeah, some things may seem a bit awkward/annoying, so I won't be too offended it you turn a lot of things off.

What models are supported?

At the moment:
  • The Axton, Maya, Krieg, Zer0 and Gaige models included in this pack.
  • The Axton model here
  • The Krieg model here
  • The Zer0 model here
  • The Gaige model here
  • The stripped down (feature wise) Gaige model here
  • The Maya model here
  • The Christmas themed Maya model here

Any bugs you know of?

A few.

When spawning on a map for the first time, more than one spawn line seems to play at once. This only seems to happen when the map loads though, so when you respawn or whatever it should play as normal.

Ally sounds also don't seem to work for whatever reason, so be prepared to react slightly harshly if you press use on a friendly rebel (don't worry, they won't hate you for it).

If anyone happens to know how to fix these problems, leave a comment and I'll mention you in the thanks section if your solution works.

If there are any other bugs you find, comment in the bug thread in the discussions and I'll look into it, though I'm not exactly experienced with lua, so I can't promise quick fixes unless it's something very simple that I've overlooked or something.

If this is a huge, buggy mess, or if you just don't like this version, you can go back to the PES version of this, which should be fully compatible with VOX (ignore the PES requirement section), though it will be missing the extra features.

You planning on updating your other packs?

Yep. Until then, you can use the PES versions of the Pre-Sequel Vault Hunters and Misc NPCs. Once those are updated, I'll get back to working on the other Borderlands packs I promised.

@Injitin I think I've had that problem with conflicting addons, though the exact thing that stops working seems to be different each time. Someone mentioned it being more likely to happen with addons that add scripts, especially single player maps. Other times it seems completely random (the TFA NMRiH SWEPS seemed to cause the issue for me for some reason).

It might be a good idea to go through your addons and clear some out, or look for anything that stands out as being a potential problem (plus it's a good idea to do that now and again anyway. 50+ pages of subscribed items...I need to sort that myself).

I'll double check in-game as well soonish to make sure it's not happening on my end too.

On the Callout menu, Agree, Laugh, Hello, and Disagree don't seem to work. I did find an error in the console that says:

"EmitSound: volume out of bounds = 60.000000" and "EmitSound: volume out of bounds = 80.000000".

its not for the same model, its just in general, say i tried to use reapers along with someone elses, say tracer or noire (shes from hdn), only tracer or noires would work, not reapers, apperently they conflict somehow :/ same happens on vox as it did in the old player expression base, however ur borderlands packs dont conflict

@asura weird, I never had that problem, unless you used two packs which affected the same model. At least it seems it's sorted now.
And yes, Gearbox removed the long rants in BL2 so now with this you can use them on demand.
