In this guide, you will be told how changing the files to change skins and stickers works and how to do it. This helps especially if you want to buy a skin or sticker but want to see what iot looks like first.

To change the appearance of stickers you will need any sticker in your inventory and then once you have edited it, you can "Apply Sticker" and see what it looks like on weapons and skins then, but don't apply it because even though it looks like what you edited it to, it is still the original sticker if you change the files back.



To change skins, it will be best to have a Factory New skin for the weapon you will like to change the appearance of, don't spend too much money on this as it is only for offline games.



Me and my friends play CSGO offline messing around now and then so i decided to spend a bit of time editing the files, at the time i had a Field-Tested Karambit | Night so therefor i could change it to anything, so i tested what the Ruby Doppler would look like and the marble fade, they have a few scratches in Field-Tested condition and do not look as good so that is why it is best to go for Factory New skins. I also edited the files for my friends (in the same file) so one of my friends had an AWP | Corticera and he wanted a Dragon Lore, so in-game when we play offline, he has a Dragon Lore now and my other friend has a Medusa along with me having a Dragon Lore too.





They could see these because after i made the edited file with all the skin changes, i sent them a copy of it to put in their files, so now anyone with the file can see our skins changed in offline.

you can also test this out for skins that don't even work like i tested the Howl on a M4A1-S... the skin pattern is not the same so it is best not to change the skins meant for other weapons, unless its a knife skin like i did with the Glock-18, after changing my knife to a Doppler Ruby, i realised i had a Glock-18 | Night in my inventory so i inspected it and it actually looks pretty cool as a Doppler Ruby.

I used YouTube videos to find out myself on how to do this but the only downside is you have to have the skins or a sticker in the first place.

(This tells you to add "-insecure" to your launch options, you do not need to do this aslong as you don't go online. If you do, you will just be kicked with a VAC message saying your files do not match, this means you will need to change your files back to the original (so you should have created a backup of the original file) and you will have to restart your csgo after changing the files back if you had csgo open while changing it back.)

If you do this method, you can use the table that i made to help find the skins, it does not have them all but is has a few along with knife skins, cases and collections.


the numbers int he middle represent the ID number, just search through the file for them and thats where the skin is, or you can search for the words in the speech marks, ", so then you can also find it that way too.
