How to make AI paths for your Speed Run maps
By ncrecc
Self-navigating Speed Run AI has been dropped for quite a while now. The AI's paths are now decided by Speed Run replays, so as long as you can actually finish your own map, the AI bots won't have any problems either!

(Note: this guide assumes you already know how to compile and publish a mod. If you don't, go check out moveordiegame.com/modding )

Planning out the route
Make a replay of yourself running through the level (only as the blue player) then save it as SpeedRun-[name of the level]-1. No period at the end.
For example, if your level is called "PrettyDangerous", you would save the replay as "SpeedRun-PrettyDangerous-1".
If you want multiple paths the AI can take, record yourself going through the level again and call the replay SpeedRun-[name of the level]-2. After that you can make a third recording, fourth, fifth, etc. as long as you update the number at the end of the name.

Just be aware that the AI will function exactly as you told it to in the replay. If a toggle block that was non-solid in your original replay becomes solid once you actually play it, the AI will walk right through. Similarly, it can phase through doors that it thought were open, and can step on thin air if it believes something used to be there. This problem is even present in the AI paths for the original Speed Run maps.
Bundling the replay
You'll need to attach the replay to your level if you actually want the AI to follow it when someone downloads your map.
You should be able to find the replay(s) in Move or Die\Levels\EditorLevels. Again, no period. They'll be saved in the .replay format.
Simply copy-and-paste it to the Levels folder in your mod, and it will automagically be loaded every time you play your map with an AI bot.

When I recorded Only As Blue Player, there was a glitch where the AI would all spawn and be at the same location taking the same path. I had to record all four players in each Replay to make it function properly.

Other than that. thanks for the help! :)
