'Great increase' is higher than 'large increase', but the one that gives a great increase also greatly reduces stamina recovery, which is really bad for its management in PvP battles.
Unless you're already a tank and you want to be able to take a lot of hits, tanky Z-Souls are pointless. If your health is naturally low, you have to rely on your speed, not make it worse at the cost of having slightly more health.
But yeah, 'You can be the first victim.' is a good Z-Soul, but only for basic attacker humans.
The full ki at the beginning grants them instant access to one of their strengths: 'Attack power increases when Ki is full', and on top of that, the defense.
...But it's still hilarious to f*ck around with it.
