Dark Fear involves a fair amount of grinding.
Whether for crafting or to earn enough money for equipment, you will have to hunt and fish in order to progress through the game. You can sell animal pelts and fish respectively to the tailor and to Gunter, which you will both find in the village.

This guide gives you the necessary information to make the right choices when it comes to deciding where to spend your time efficiently.

I have named and marked on the map several spots where you can hunt and fish, and you can easily look up what the game to be found there is worth. The animals in each table are ordered from most to least common.

This is the first area where you'll be able to hunt, and it's barely worth it. Use it only if you have to.

First area where you can fish, after Gunter gives you the fishing rod. Don't bother spending much time there, it's not worth it.

Dark Forest is a better spot and should be available approximately at the same time. Hunt there to get the necessary pelts, but no more.

Definitely the best grinding spot mid-game. Also has the advantage of being one move away from a shore where you can fish for added gains!

Same area as previous. Once you've filled up on pelts, move up to the beach and cast your line!

Not the most varied game, but definitely the most valuable

This fishing spot is one of the best places to make money, but it's only accessible near the end of the game.
