The Sentinel is a light ship used for surface exploration and special operations of atmospheric planets. The Sentinel built from the ground up to accommodate two pilots and an internal modular space behind the cockpit. Features a quad engine layout housed in two fixed pods either side of the fuselage, an ore detector mounted on the spine of the ship and decoys have fitted to the tail to keep potential gunfire as far away from the fuselage as possible. The internal space comes as standard with four seats for quick insertions and extractions though they may be easily removed to accommodate such items as cargo units, fuel tanks, oxygen generators, etc.

When the designer came to make the Sentinel he described that the shape came to him in a dream, which sounds silly but he swears by it, and I'm quoting "There I was asleep at home and just like that it came to me, like a vision from some faraway place. When I awoke I knew immediately what I had to do". After a short amount of time, the Sentinel prototype was constructed. GI had a lot riding on this as it was their first atmospheric ship in the company's history and was planned to be the first ship to enter the civilian market. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the prototype and all the blueprints were completely destroyed. GI wouldn't give up though and later the same year the Sentinel was rebuilt. The Sentinel entered active service shortly afterward and became one of the most successful ships in the companies history.
