Introduction
I have not done many guides before but since there is no other guide im going to record what I know so far.

BEWARE: may be spoilers and incorrect information ahead.

Items
Looting in this game involves picking up objects. Objects will appear in blue and you need to look directly at them to pick them up

Coins: The currency, used to pay for upgrades and things. Comes in varying sizes, and offers a form of persistance between playthroughs.

Papers/scraps: This are optional but provide backstory and potentially helpfull clues as to what might be going on.

Incense: Throw to increase sanity levels, trust me when ur bat crazy scared with your screen tearing and wobbling and you toss one of these guys down you'll know what i mean.

Flare: A magical ball of light with illuminates an area. Draws attention of nearby enemies. Make sure your flashlight is off when your trying to use this to sneak around with as I think your flashlight draws more attention then the flare does.

Firecrackers: Scare enemies away witha firecracker, doesnt seem to last long, use if trying to push through an area.

Weapons: Will be covered in another section. See below
Weapons
This isnt a typical survival horror where you cant fight back. Thats right! You get to shoot and bludgeon things to death in this game. Below is a list of the weapons I have found so far...

Wood Board: typical piece of wood. A full charge can take out crawlers, or 2-3 regular hits will do as well. Breaks pretty quickly. Can be found over doors and windows, almost always available so look for them.

Bat: Sort of feels like a side grade to the wood board. Hits faster, but charge feels weaker.

Metal Pipe: Amazing weapon as its charge attack hits much harder then the wood.

Pistol: A typical handgun that preforms its duty well. Long ranged, decent power, lots of noise. Ammo sold seperatly! (gives 10 ammo when picked up)

Ammo: Gives 5 rounds for the pistol, often found in locked boxes and crates.

Pipe Bomb: Tic Tic Boom! Blow stuff up with these, does the job of killing lots of guys in a small area.

Ak-47 Assult Rifle: Generates lots of noise, kills quickly, due to the ruckus it creates only use if you abosultely have to.

MP-5 Smg: Generates lots of noise, kills faster then pistol, due to the ruckus it creates only use if you abosultely have to.

Tips: Melee weapons seem to generate almost no ruckus but still produce noise. Noise will attract nearby enemies.
Enemies
SPOILER ALERT! I warned you earlier. This section may contain spoilers.

Junkie AKA Crawlers: These guys crawl on their arms and legs and are not much of a threat, a fully charged piece of wood takes them out. Two variants apparently, one is just slighlty tougher then the other.

Starver: Little tougher then a junkie but stands up and is easier to see. He looks real tough but he goes down pretty easy as well. He lacks eyesight so sneaking around him his very easy, just make sure you stay quite.

Scary gary: This guy doesnt attack you but will follow you yelling obscenities in some other language. Killing this sucker causes noise, aside from the normal sound of wood on face. Ignore this guy and try to lose his attention, hitting him will cause him to run, but he will come back if he can find you.

Spitter: Basically like a ranged starver, spits stuff at you, pretty tough, really sucks, i suggest using ranged to take them out.

Shadowhound: Invisible enemy I encountered. Hard to see, Strategy - Aim low

The Big Shadow: I dont know who or what this guy is, but hes killed me more then a few times, no information about him currently, not sure if he can be killed. can be killed but not recomended, can take a hit and keep coming. I suggest running if you see him.

Swirling yellow/orange portal of skulls: Not sure if this is an anemy but it is something i noticed. I went loud and attacked the enemies in this room and got swarmed by wave after wave of enemies. I went throught loads of melee weapons and about 15 pistol shots, killing lots, but there seemed to be no end. Stealthing during this level might be the only way to avoid the swarm.

Spiders: Hard to hit, easy to kill, watch out for spider cieling tiles and stay low and quite to try and avoid them spawning.

Screamers: Not sure about these guys, but they hit hard and really mess you up, try to avoid fighting unless you absolutely have to.

Creepy floating eye guys: Had a run in with 3 of these. Not sure what they do aside from freaking you the hell out, both in game and irl, but they also block your path as you cannot move through them.

Mechanics
There are a few things you need to look out for in Phantasmal. This section will cover the mechanics in this game.

Ruckus: After further investigation ruckus is absolutely the most important thing to keep in mind. Sprinint and shooting generate the most ruckus, ruckus does not decay during a level, meaning the longer you draw it out the higher chance of summoning it* and ending a run. Melee attacks and glass bottles generate noise, but do not seem to generate ruckus. Once its out its game over, its* fast and it* instantly kills if it catches you. To keep ruckus low sneak or walk and sprint only when running from something or to the elevator if its in sight.

Combat: You fight in this game, quite a bit. Enemies hit you by attacking and you hurt them by hitting back. Your health is the crescent in the top right corner, if that hits 0 you die. Left click is to attack/shoot. Right click with pistol to aim, and hold left click with melee to charge an attack. Your character will gasp for air when fully charged.

Healing: Medkits appear thought the levels and can restore your health should you be damaged.

Sanity: This is how clear your mind is. The lower your sanity the more your vision messes up, and it can get pretty bad. You lose sanity by being alone in the dark(without your flashlight on) or just looking at certain enemies. You regain sanity by standing in well lit areas, using incense, or sanity pills laying all over the place thanks to Dr. OverSimplificationOfDrugs. So far, losing sanity does not seem to have any direct detrimental affect, you might hear sounds, you might see things, although those may be *traps* if they exist in the game. A few things to look out for are bleeding walls, flashing lights, piano noises, sheating your weapon or having your gun "jam" due to fear(could be bug)

Light: There are many lights throught the game, all have switches nearby which turn them on. Flares and firecrackers also generate light, but they also draw more attention too. Your flashlight also prevents sanity loss due to darkness, but not when seeing something scary. The flashlight does not seem to attract enemies attentions.

Stealth: All things sneaky. You dont have to fight in this game, but sneaking around is for the more hardcore i suppose. Ctrl puts you in "sneak" mode and makes you much less noisy. Your flashlight will attract the attention of enemies so if your going ninja you have to do it in the dark(no flashlight).

Locked cases: Requires keys, which are rare to find, but can be bought. Often contain ammo and guns.

RNG: Yes this game is randomly generated. I've had maps with 5 enemies and some with the 1st room having like 8. I have also noted a room I cleared would respawn enemies after "certain conditions". Im not sure if backtracking would allow them to respawn or if opening/obtaining loot is a possible trigger.
Conclusion
Thats all for now, feel free to leave a comment, correction, or additional information to be added in the future. Please no spam/hate/off topic stuff but feel free to ask questions.

The "Scary Gary" description is incorrect. He's totally harmless, other than getting in the way, and doesnt attract attention unless you kill him, at which point he alerts half the level.
