Drain 1.24

Beskrivning
Drain the water to locate the exit.

Praise for Drain: Tairs: - "...loved the map. Nice pacing and difficulty, gave me "yay I'm smart" moments without being frustrating, centered around a novel concept."

Turning on the first water pump will pump out half the water, allowing access to the second pump mechanism which will, when activated, pump out the rest of the water you need removed to allow access to the exit.

This map started as a concept piece to see if I could adjust the water level in a flooded map to reveal areas initially underwater during gameplay.

Highly recommend using the F6 autosave each time you enter the flooded room as timers are tight and flings tricky.

Update 1.24
Roof cage added to prevent cube throwing. Minor other changes.

Updates 1.22-1.23:
Fixed laser room bypass exploit and laser room alternate solution.

Update 1.21:
Hard light bridge timer lengthened plus minor changes.

Update 1.2:
Made laser room much harder, easy to do, just hard to figure out. (I put a hint in the comments, but if you're really stuck I put a video link in the comments also)
Added grate to catch player if they do the end puzzle wrong and launch themselves into the water.
Made edgeless safety cube rooms exit more obvious.

Update 1.1:
Due to popular demand the "laser" room has been made bigger also a resource hungry piston platform has been replaced.
Some fizzlers added.
Larger landing area near end.
Minor fixes to keep the puzzle under the object limit (right on it now).

Thanks to expendablejim, Timkin, Arcade Fiction, Tairs and toncica for the suggestions.

Good puzzle, but it's too bad that you're not actually draining the goo. Good job at making it hard to tell that you're not in the same room, though.

@mechtakendall If you liked that one, check out a new collaboration map I just finished with a mate, took a month to make and playtest thoroughly, but it was worth it. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=88181921

You must tell me how you do that drainage thing.

@toncica I may just have to live with alternate solutions, I never liked the sky cage anyway.

I don't consider that breaking the room. The end position of the cubes is always the same, there were merely different ways to achieve that. You didn't need to change anything in the room, since none of those ways skipped a part of the puzzle. The danger is that the room starts to look strangely convoluted...
If you absolutely insist that one cube has to be destroyed, I'm afraid I have to tell you it's still possible to avoid that. Leave the first cube in the position that disables the fizzler on the ceiling. Then bring the second cube to the position that's intended for the first one to activate the stairs. Voilà.

@toncica I must say I'm impressed. I hope I've fixed it now, but you seem to have a knack for breaking this room ;)
