BucketHoodie, that .fgd option is in the program itself, not a folder.

Hey again, I just want to tell you that i access hammer through gmod's files in GarrysMod/garrysmod/bin, and i cant see a hammer folder.

Hi again BucketHoodie, I reinstalled GMod after 3 years and found that the .fgd file needs to be added under Hammer -> Options -> General in game data files. You could decompile the addon to get this .fgd, but I've added it to the description of the addon.

Hey Obsyden, I can't seem to find trigger_altar on hammer.

Hi BucketHoodie, thanks for making me finally look at this gamemode again, I haven't played GMod in some time. For the first query, I'm okay with people de-compiling the addon file for Altar and taking a look. I'm a big fan of all things open-source and I've always believed everyone should be able to see how things are done under the hood. As I don't have GMod installed at the moment, and I've probably forgotten how it works anyway, I'm pretty sure that having the addon installed will allow people's GMod Hammer to see another entity 'trigger_altar.' Having this in your map will make it compatible with Altar.

If you make any cool maps, send me a link!

Hey, although its almost three years later now, i would like to suggest if you can make this open source and or let people have the ability to make maps for this certain gamemode.

Thanks for the suggestions Gryphon!
I get that the speed of the god can be a bit disorientating, but I do plan on keeping it that way.
Whilst on that topic I'd like to add that any loadout changes to the god will probably be removing weapons, rather than adding them.

The god's primary focus is to stay alive by not getting hit, and resisting most hits. Therefore the god's combat abilities will not be improved.

Suggestion number 2 is something I'll definitely take on board, I can't exactly pay mappers (ScriptFodder etc.) but I think I know a few who can help me out and would be happy to create maps for Altar. I do currently have a few work in progress maps, but as I'm working on updating DeathMatch and creating a new gamemode, they're not getting as much attention as they probably should be...

So yeah, most of this stuff will probably get done soon, but I do have a lot of other projects going on right now.

Once again thanks for the suggestion, and sunspeed to ya :sunspeed:

If I may suggest changes:

1. Perhaps give the God more or different weapons, or give the people less weapons? This would provide some variety to the gamemode. Or perhaps give the God some different abilities.

2. More maps. You told me in your comment that you planned to make more, which would be great! Preferably larger ones, or more complex ones. You could also try to finds some map-makers to make some for you.

3. Slow down the speed. I'm not sure why you can go so fast, but it's kind of disorienting and unneccesary. At least I think so.

Hope this helps! Keep up the good work!

Thank you KO!

By touching a trigger_altar, this is a map entity though, so you'll need to be playing an altar map. The only map at the moment is dm_fortress, but I'm planning on making more in the future.
