Intro!
This guide is...well, a guide! A walkthrough if you will. If you're ever unsure of what to do, or find yourself stuck, you should be able to find the answer here!

YES I KNOW THERE ARE ALREADY GUIDES:

** I got about halfway through this before I realized there are already published walkthroughs XD But they don't show up in the bundle, only for the individual titles of Deponia. So I'm just going to publish the damn thing anyway, makes it convenient if you have the bundle instead, right?

When you start the game, it will ask you what inventory method you prefer. After that, it will give you a map. We'll click on Kuvaq, as that is the very beginning. There's a tutorial for you here, and you can't move forward until you do it.

Tips:
- Clicking the right mouse button will skip dialog.

- Double clicking a path arrow will skip walking and automatically put you in a new area.

- Clicking the spacebar will show you all path arrows.

- Clicking the spacebar during a cutscene will pause the cutscene.

- The escape button brings you back to the menu screen. Hitting it again will bring you back to the game.

- Hitting the escape button will also skip dialog or cutscenes!

Part 1: Stuck In Toni's House
You'll want to start by opening the suitcase. In here you'll find a list of the things you need before you leave. Also, check the cushion on the bed for a sock.

Next, go to the right side of the room and grab the oil can and flame-thrower. After you're done, exit the room.

In the next area, grab the note suck to the bathroom door. Also try to enter Toni's room. After your near-death experience, grab that note as well. Head back towards the bathroom and open it. Step away from the door so you can see the inside, and grab the plunger.

Also grab the tooth brush. Don't worry about him, we'll get to that later.

Open the locker, grab the detergent and bolt cutters, then head down to the lower part of this area.

Grab the note, fork, and pot from the sink, but fill the pot with water.

Grab the note from the fridge door, and open it to find yet another sock.

Now grab the note from the chair.

Head towards the door on this level and check the coat. Aren't you lucky!

While we're over here, use the plunger on the boarded up closet, then reach inside.

Now, go towards the oven and open it. Hmm, what should we do with all these lovely notes? Lets set them on fire. Shove them in the oven and light 'em up! Now place the pot on the hotplate above the oven. Put the detergent in the pot. Throw all your socks in as well, then scoop them out with the fork. Mmm.

On to the next item! Lets take the oil can and pour out it's contents at the sink! Now go fill it with the delcious wasabi peas hiding in the sofa. Combine these provisions with the mousetrap in your inventory! Now go back up to where the toothbrush is mocking you, and use the trap on the cheeky little devil.

Looks like you got everything you need! Head up to Rufus's room and pack everything in your suitcase...then dump the bolt cutters out.
Part 2: Get Me Out Of Here!
Lets start by grabbing the wrench that is in plain sight.

Next, go open the door of the pod. Now open the storage space at the bottom and click the battery. With that out of the way, your suitcase will easily fit! After it's nice and snug, take the wrench and click the seat.

You've done all you can out here, lets go back into Toni's house. Go down to the bottom level of her house and out the door next to the coat. Use the wrench on the mailbox outside.

Hurry back to the pod and put the mailbox where the seat used to be.

Now go to the control panel and try to get the crosshairs over the bridge

If it's driving you nuts, here's the solution, just hit reset and follow these instructions
The first word indicates which direction you should be looking on the plus sign
part of the pad. The second word indicates which fork to take.

North / Right

West / Down - do this twice

North / Right

West / Down

South / Right

North / Right

West / Down

North / Right


Once that is done, and your ex gives you a piece of her mind, it's time to set off! Light the fuse with your hand torch and get the heck out of here!
Part 3: Hang In There!
What have you gotten yourself into?

Click the chain a couple times and then go up the chute. Open your suitcase and grab the socks and provisions.

Take your provisions and click on the moving gears below the blue trash chute. A mechanical arm will pop out and start to clean your mess. While it is working, take your socks and click on the hatch that the robot hand came out of.

Now open the hatch again and steal the arm for yourself! With this in your possession, use it to break the red, cross-stitched hatch.

After some dialog, crawl through the hatch yourself.

Maybe you should click the left lever :)
Part 4: Too Many Goals
Let me just start by saying...there is a hell of a lot to do in this section. I'll try to make this as smooth as possible...

You start in an area with a mechanical bull and a broken down car. Head towards the village square. You will now want to go down the alley. In the alley, you will see a bar, go in. Grab the dart, and the sign of the female cow. Leave and go back to the village square. Walk past the cluster of people into the Town Hall. From here, grab the magnets on the bulletin board and push the lever to recieve a number in line. Grab the number.

Go back to the outside of the bar in the alleyway. Look at the map next to the bar, then talk to the construction worker about demolition. Now take the magnets and put them on the map.

This is yet another puzzle, the goal is to try to get the three men that are ahead of you in line at the mayor's office to leave.

(Missable achievement here! Set the magnets correctly on the first try and you'll get the achievement)

Hint: Look at their hats. Now look at the buildings very closely

Solution: Lookng at the map, place a magnet on the very top two circles. Now, put the last magnet on the lowest circle on the right side of the map. That should do it!

Ring the bell next to the map when you are done and return to the Town Hall. If you have done it correctly, all three men will be gone and there will be a ticket that says 63 on the ground. Take it.

Head to the back of the office now, and you'll trigger dialog and a cutscene. Once that has finished, get off the stage and go towards the closed door in the room. Hit the button, and grab the balloons from inside.

The next stop is the bar! Head back to Lonzo's bar and talk to him until he shows you his espresso machine. After that conversation, grab the paper off the stool. OhmyGod, more stuff for you to collect! Before you leave the bar, pick up the red curtain that is now on the floor. Once you're outside, the Emergency Station will have opened up. Go through the doorway!

Okay, first pick up the dentist's tool and dissecting scalpal. Next, take a balloon and fill it with laughing gas. Go back out and use the balloon on the bird, then go back through to the Emergency Station. Fill up another balloon with laughing gas, then press the lever down to make the room switch. The room should now have a jail. The wheel that rotates along with the rooms will have an open cubby hole now, grab the foot fetters from it. Now push the lever down once more. Take the fire extenguisher out of the new cubby hole, and take the gloves out of the new room. Now take the foot fetters and put them where the fire extenguisher was. Turn the lever back so that the prison room is now visable. The foot fetters should knock the handcuffs down. Now, pull the lever so that the fire escape is showing, and place the handcuffs on the hatch to the right side of the room, this way the floor will not move when you change rooms. Hit the lever again to switch back to the jail side. Go aaaaaall the way back to the Front of the Town Gate, and then go up the fire escape. Now you can grab the lockpick! You can open the lock from the side you are on, so go ahead and do that. Flip the lever so that the doctor's side is showing. Now use the lockpick on his cubby to get the stimulnant and syringe. Flip the lever again.

Go down the fire escape. Now put the sign of the girl cow up on the Bull's bulletin board, then put the red curtain on top of it. Looks like he's angry...lets stick a needle in him! Use the syringe on the bull!

Now go to Toni's house through the Village Center. Use the gloves on the pepper outside. Now go inside her house, but out the 2nd floor exit. Out here, you'll need to pick up the torch, the dud and the funnel. Combine the dud and the dissecting scalpal in your inventory to make black powder.

Now, go back to the Village Square, this time, locate Toni's store to the far right and go in. Try to grab her vouchers, she should start meditating (if not, exhaust all her dialog options and then try to take the vouchers). While she isn't looking, grab the hooks. She'll give you her first aid kit key. You know what to do! Go back to her house and open up the first aid kit. Now combine the dart and tranquilizer, then combine that with the funnel. Head back up to Toni's shop but don't go in. Instead, equip your dart gun and click on the open window. Then go inside and pick up the vouchers.

Whew, okay. Go back outside and combine the balloon and hook in your inventory. Now go to Wenzel's house in the bottom left corner. First, go into the basement and use your dentist drill on the pipes. Then go upstairs and open the furnace. Place the balloon into it. Also grab the sponge off the counter. Now go outside and above Wendel's house. Kick the pipe, then use the reservoir tap to flood Wenzel's basement. Go back to his basement and have a chat with him, then grab the divining rod.

Now you can go back to the Town Hall and finally head into the Mayor's office. Exhaust your dialog options with him, then click on the globe and grab the glass. Also click the bell on the desk and then check the cushion. Take the Planet's Magnetic Field Gadget. Get out your divining rod and click the water symbol on the desk. Now grab the key and stick it into the globe! Grab a bottle of booze and combine it with the glass in your inventory.

Go all the way back to Toni's house and dip the sponge in the pot. After that, return to the area with the mechanical bull. Take the spong and click the truck's windshield. Then have a look at it. Once you've learned the name of the truck's owner, go back to the Hannek outside of the bar. Ask him about keys (or exhaust his dialog options until you see something about keys).

Once you have the key, go back to the truck, open it, pull the lever and pop open the hood. Use the drill on the battery, and then the glass on the acid!

Whew! You're almost done! Okay, now go back to Lonzo, grab your glass and click the coffee machine, then grab your coffee powder and click the coffee machine.

Once you have the coffee in your inventory, combine it with the parrot. Don't worry, he won't drink it all. Since the parrot is awake, it seems like a good time to go bother Toni. Leave the bird on the perch with her. After you're thrown out, go right back in and take the bird again.

Go to the Assembly Hall and set the cardboard box on fire. While Gizmo is busy in the closet, go up to where Goal is and steal his stethoscope. Aim around the Mayor's buttflap and it should say "bag", click there, and you'll have framed the mayor for stealing.

Put the funnel in Goal's mouth and then pour in the coffee!
Part 5: After Getting Punched
Alrght, so you gave coffee to Goal, she woke up and decked you hard in the face. Dialog here, dialog there. Now what do you do?

Run over to the Assembly Hall where the mayor is currently sleeping. Click on the clock around his neck. Bam, it's yours now. Also grab the microphone and the funnel. Head back to the main part of Town Hall where Lotti is. Place the clock on the Post Office hours sign, and then head on in!

Talk to the postbot, and you'll find out he has a thing for bubblewrap...but he can only get it under very specific conditions.

Now turn around and go up to the Operator's Platform. Open the cabinet and place your Magnetic Field Disruptor on it. SAVE YOUR GAME. BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING.

The objective is to get a small pidgeon in the middle hole.

If you'd like to know what the correct sequence looks like:

The bars at the top should be 3, 1, 2, and the grid should have an L shape, with one lone dot at the top right.

Okay, the grid always starts out with the same pattern:

So if you mess up, just reload your save. If you didn't save, try to get to the original start point pattern before trying the next sequence.

Starting with the top row, from left to right, the dots are 1, 2 and 3.
In the middle row, from left to right, the dots are 4, 5 and 6.
In the last three button row, from left to right, the dots are 7, 8 and 9.
Don't even worry about the dot at the very bottom.

Now that we have assigned a number to all the dots, here is the sequence in which you should click them. I will break it up into batches of three:

6 5 5 - 4 5 4 - 5 6 5 - 8 5 4- 8 4 8 - 8 4 8



So once you do that, go back to the previous area.

(There is a missable achievement in this area! Please check one of the achievement guides for this game before continuing!)

There are two hatches on the right side of the screen, both with kittens inside! So the orange kitten needs to be fed tranquilizer, and the white kitten who licks stamps needs a bit of coffee. After you've done this, give the postbot a voucher.
When the pidgeon flies off with the package, he'll drop it, leaving you with a pile of bubblewrap. Walk all over it! Popopopopop oh yeah!

Okay, go back into the Post Office. Open the replacement cat hatch (it's underneath all the numbered slots). Grab the kittens!. Now go grab the note off of the door. Oh my, another puzzle!

Hint 1: The answer is in the Post Office room, so you don't have to go anywhere else.

Hint 2: Take the note from your inventory and move it around the room. Find anything that matches up with it?

Mega Hint: Okay, take the note out of your inventory and line it up with the numbered post boxes. It should fit over so that 360 is in the top hole, 116 is in the next hole, the bottom hole has 245 and the last hole shows 489. The numbers on the note are telling you to only use the first, second or third number in the sequence.

Answer: 3649

Once you open the door, go inside and take the nodding bird. Also put the microphone from your inventory with the radio.

Goal wanted you to contact someone right? Well the only way to get headphones is to annoy the guy that was near the pidgeons. For that, we have to find all the places that feed into his earphones.

For starters, go back into the mayor's office and put one of the replacement cats on the teletypwriter. Also, put the nodding bird on top of the intercom sitting on the desk.

Well remember the parrot? The one I told you to give coffee to? The one you gave to Toni and then took back? Yes, that parrot. Go to the village square and put that parrot on the emergency phone, it's where he was destined to be.

Now go back to the post office, and then up to Operator's Platform. You've broken this guy down completely...so grab his headphones and get out of there! Go back to the post office and through the door you unlocked (to the vault) to get to the radio. Get out the headphones and click the radio. Now use the radio!
Part 6: After The Radio Conversation
Once you're done with the radio, head back toward's Gizmo's Emergency Station. Grab the blanket off of the bed. Now grab the kitten from your inventory and click the tree.

Head over to Wenzel's house, then go into the basement.

Use the divining rod on the door handle!
Part 7: Junk Mines
Get yourself over to the crane. Hit the maintenence box and throw out the old fuse.

Now go up on top of the ramp, close to where the crane arm is. There's a path that leads to the Tunnel, so follow it around.

Click on the mine bike before moving along the path.

In the next area, click on the skeleton. Now walk towards the mirror and give it a click.

Also go near the signaling light base, open it, and grab the red light from it.

Might as well go say hi to Doc. Exhaust his dialog options (talk to him about the mine bike) and he should give you the avial power converter. Go back to where the mine bike is, get the avial power converter out of your inventory and click on the bike. Then click on the junk heap.

WOO! Another puzzle! They actually have hints for this one, so I'll just leave the solution here:

The sphereical power converter uses: An emerald colored muff, a screw on bushing and a bevel with 4 spokes.

The triangular power converter uses: A cobalt colored muff, a clamp on bushing and a bevel with 2 spokes.

The cubical power converter uses: A mauve colored muff, a push on bushing and a bevel with 3 spokes.


Once that's done, try putting the sphereical power converter into the mine bike again.

Jump on the bike and down the path to the right. When you come back to where you started, a button will pop up in your face. Press it!

Dismount, grab the cloth, and walk out to the tunnel.

Don't touch the lever yet, just click the button.

Now go down to the first level. Head towards the Viaduct where Doc is.

Grab a swig of booze, then wipe it with your cloth. Combine the cloth with the mirror in your inventory.

Put your halogen light bulb in the light signaling case.

Go back to where the mine cart usually sits, then go up to the second floor, pull the lever.

Go all the way back to where Doc is and use the wrench on the maintenence box. Take out the fuse and replace it with the triangular power converter. Hang the mirror on the skeleton and grab his key.

Go all the way back to the Control Room, and use the key to open the box. Grab the wrench.

Now go aaaaaall the way back to Doc and use the wrench on the maintenence box, grab the fuse and then stuff a power converter in there.

Now you can finally go to the outer turn! Head into the tunnel and on the other side, grab the lever and the bottle.

Now go back to the tunnel, stick the lever in the shunting lever box, and then pull the lever. Get on the mine bike and set off. After that short ride, go to the crane controls. Use the bone from your inventory on the seat. Also stick the working fuse into the maintenence box. Try using the crane controls, then head back to Doc.

Ask him for help until he starts doing yoga, then use your bottle on the booze. Move your cursor anywhere over the horizon where you are able to right click and do so. Whoa!

Now go all the way back to the crane controls and find a nice spot on the horizon to click. The answer to your meditation is "Pupup"...no idea why on that one. But Rufus will take a swig of booze on his own and then you can grab the crane controls.

Once Goal is on the mine bike, go over to it and climb in. Follow the tracks all the way around until you get back to the tunnel and the button pops up in your face. Dismount and save! Then hop back on and press the button.

Another puzzle! O:

The map is very helpful in this. When you set off on the mine bike, you start in the top left corner of the map. The objective is to get to the bottom right. There are three different colored levers, and underneath the levers are two switches. Manipulate them until you get the correct combination.

Solution: The yellow lever should be forward, the red lever should be back, the green lever should be forward, and the right switch should be set to red.
Part 8: Lower Assention Station
This is another really long section!! Brace yourself...

After a few cutscenes and a rousing song, you and Goal will be in an abandoned Candy Shop.

Click the chewing gum dispenser, the shelf, the plug, the anchovey machine, the fish on the stick aaaaaaand go back to the cotton candy dispensor.

Now go to the Lobby, and then to the Concourse. Pick up the pebbles and the mosiac tile.

Then go towards the Elevator, open the utility cabinet and grab the soap, mop and bucket.

Go to the Tower, fill the bucket with water, then combine it with the soap and the mop.

Go back to the concourse and use the mop on the dirty mosiac tiles. Make Rufus eat the chewing gum and then combine the gum with the mosiac tile in your inventory.

Eat the anchovie off the stick in your inventory and go back to the Candy Shop. Set the cotton candy machine to phosphorus (green) and then shove the stick in there.

(Have Rufus eat all three cotton candies for an achievement)

Get another anchovie on a stick.

Now go all the way back up to the Concourse and hold the phosphorus cotton candy up to the lamp, then shove it in the niche on the right. Now that it's lit, put the mosiac tile in the hole.

This activates another game, trying to put the shards in the correct spot. You can rotate them with the right mouse button. Don't worry, they'll only stick if they're in the correct place.

Game solution:

I will tell you which peices go where, you'll have to rotate them on your own.

Starting from the top:

- Place the light blue piece with 2 purple markings in the very top spot.

- Underneath, place the red piece with cow-like markings.

- Below that, place the green piece with only one marking.

- Under the green piece, place the green striped shard.

- Underneath that shard, on the left side, place the mostly purple piece.

- Next to that, place the red piece with L shaped markings.

- Next to that, finally a yellow piece! The one with many markings.

- Next to the yellow, place the orange shard with many markings

- To the right of the orange piece, place the blue shard with one stripe.

- Under the blue shard, put the red shard with one stripe.

- In the space under the orange and blue, put the blue shard with the sliver of purple on it.

- Next to that, on the left, put the striped red shard.

- In the bottom left corner, put the last orange piece.

- Next to the orange piece, put the remaining yellow shard that does not have gum on it.

- On the right of the yellow, put the last green.

- Place the red piece with two markings where it is touching the blue, yellow and green pieces.

- Next to that, put the last blue piece in.

- On the bottom, put the last red piece in.

- Now keep trying to shove the piece with gum into the hole.


Well that was all for nothing wasn't it? Oh well, open the fuse box and grab the torch light. Touch the fuse switch and grab the chewing gum off the floor.

(If you'd like an achievement, put the phosphorus cotton candy under the other two mosiacs and look at them)

Now go back to the Elevator and type in your new password.

As soon as you get out onto the roof, there is a U-shaped item on one of the poles, grab it! Combine it with the gum in your inventory, and afterwards combne it with the pebble.

Now go to the flagpole and touch the lever, then grab the flag.

Go talk to Cletus, dialog dialog dialog. Plot plot plot.

Go back down using the elevator and open the oil tank, then use your mop on it.

Now go the Concourse and shoot the lamp. Combine the embellishment with the mop handle and use it to slide the lampshade over to you. Combine the flag with the lampshade, and then with the mop. Now put on the outfit and talk to the guard.

Go back up to where Cletus is and have a chat with him. Talk to him until you get the cartridge.

Now go back to the Candy Shop.

Use your torch light on the puddle of phosphurus,
(dip your anchovy in the puddle on the floor and use your torch light on it)
then follow the trail out.

Do this again in the next room (twice) and continue following the trail.

Do this yet again in the next room and then go Behind The Tower.

Grab at the stack of needles.

Use your torch light on the trail again.

Use your hook on the grating, then go inside.

Show the whale your glowing anchovie and then head through the tubes out to the Wrecked Cable Boat. Go inside the boat.

After some dialog, grab the feather duster and the key. Go outside and use the key on the chest. Look inside!

Now take a look at the cartidge in your inventory.

Yet another game! I don't think a guide is needed for this one, just use your items accordng to the problems on the cartridge, basically screwing it up until you can use the brush. Go back into the Wrecked Cable Boat and show Doc the cartridge.

Once you have Goal, go backwards until you encounter the Organons.

Now go the big green puddle and use your straw. Go through the trunk. Grab the fork then head through the next open window and turn the crank. There is a pipe next to the horn at the bottom of the screen, click it. Now shove the fork into the horn and give it a squeeze. Exit through the open canopy top. Walk across the platypus a couple of times and you'll end up near the crane. Go up to the controls and hit the lever.

When you end up on the roof again, grab what's in the bag and put it on. Go talk to Cleetus and when you get a chance, hoist him onto the flag pole by his undies.

Now grab Goal's memory chip off of her.

Go back to the Concorse and grab the cartridge.

Once you have been cornered by Organons, turn until you're facing the flying television, then grab at the handles!

WOO!!! You've done it! You've successfully completed Deponia!!!

For some reason in the first level when I put both socks in the pot only one of them comes out

yellow and red levers down, green up, left dial green, right dial red.

Just so it's mentioned here but you have to use the expresso on goal before you can set fire to the cardboard box

So I read in another guide that you can double click on any arrow to another room to save walking and you can do that to bypass Rufus.

I seem to have hit a bug. I can't get into the Mayor's office after Rufus comes out. Is anyone else having this problem?

You might want to put the step where you grab the wrench above where you use it on the maintenance box in the junk mines section. :)
