A Brief, but Complete Guide - 1868
By pwnyou2295
Here's how I managed to successfully frame each person. As stated in the title, this guide is brief, but it is complete.

A Few Things to Note
To save time, you only need to ask the others about the specific person you intend to frame. As for dialogue choices, simply bring up your target's violent qualities or whatever makes them look abnormal. Talking at the dinner table is also unnecessary.
What to Choose
The Stranger
Weapon: Six-Shooter (next to Bill's bed)
Evidence: Payment agreement found in Old Bill's room
Where to Plant: His bag in the main hall

Ernie
Weapon: Rifle (back room)
Evidence: Key found in Annie's room
Where to Plant: In the room before exiting outback (back room)

Zeke
Weapon: Pickaxe (brewery)
Evidence: Mining letter found in the brewery
Where to Plant: Old Bill's room

Josie
Weapon: Lead Pipe (kitchen)
Evidence: Bloody rag found in Pearl's room
Where to Plant: In the kitchen

Pearl
Weapon: Pocket Knife from her purse (scarlet room)
Evidence: Gold pocket watch found in Old Bill's room
Where to Plant: In Pearl's room

Father Augustine
Weapon: Snake from outback (first assess the snake, then come back to the kitchen and choose the basket)
Evidence: Old Bill's bible found on the patio
Where to Plant: Father Augustine's trouser pocket (on the clothesline outback)

Suicide
Weapon: Six-Shooter
Evidence: Opium bottle found in Pearl's room
Where to Plant: Old Bill's room upstairs

You Die
Weapon: Bare Hands
Evidence: Does not matter
Where to Plant: Does not matter (you will get into a struggle and be strangled)
Dialogues to Avoid
Do not bring up Old Bill's abusiveness towards you. Obviously, this will draw a lot of suspicion from the Sheriff. It is, however, okay to lie to the sheriff and say that you confronted him about his drinking habits.

Okay, so I got "On The Run", by trying to frame Josie, but not getting it close enough. Must have chosen a few wrong dialogue choices. Thanks for the help, appreciate the guides.

Oh, my mistake. You're right. The knife stays there. As for evidence, maybe try using the note in Bill's room and hide it in the kitchen.

Wait, hide the murder weapon? Doesn't it stay in the room where he dies? And you hide the bloody rag or something? Or use the knife as evidence?

Yes, you're not arrested at all. The murder will have too many suspects and motives. Also, I'd recommend hiding the knife in the brewery outback. It will make no sense to the sherrif and it won't be on your person.

So it's the "Unsolved" ending for this one?
Thank you. :happiness:

For that one, I'd say talk to everyone and use the Pocket Knife. You'll have plenty of time to hide, and everyone looks equally suspicious.

What about On The Run where you become a fugitive? I've got caught twice, but jailed with no escape. Thought it might happen after keeping an item on the character that wouldn't draw attention during the search.

I didn't use that one, I just brushed it off.

What dialogue did you choose when first talking to him?
