PLEASE NOTE:
I DO NO LONGER HAVE TIME TO KEEP MY MODS UPDATED. I WILL JUST LEAVE THEM HERE FOR PEOPLE PLAYING ON OLDER VERSIONS AND OTHER MODDERS WHO WANT TO ADAPT THEM. THE LATTER IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED; JUST GIVE ME A SHORT NOTIFICATION, PLEASE.



This mod improves the mechanics of the Holy Roman Empire. It allows the empire to expand dynamically, let's you join it from outside, allows you to make yourself a prince elector and much more.

Now available in German, English and Spanish!


  • New Casus Belli for the emperor:
    Subjugation of any country (not too far away from the emperor) bordering a HRE member
    (choose between keeping the vassal and releasing it as a free HRE member state)

  • Chance that a vassal is set into the HRE

  • Chance that the relations between the emperor and his vassals become very close

  • Every european country (player + AI) can join the HRE (needs good relations to the emperor).

  • Chance that a core province owned by a HRE member is added to the empire

  • As the emperor you can become a prince elector when there are less than six.

  • Imperial benefits are kept after "Renovati Imperii".

  • Simplifies the pragmatic sanction

  • Removes the cap for the number of imperial cities

  • Changes the colour of the HRE to gold instead of grey

I'm having this difficulty -- half the time when I vassalize a country, it adds itself to the HRE and I don't get the event to release them. So I'm heavily above my vassal limit after managing some italians.

Is there a way to download it manually? Because since the new launcher, my mods have basically stopped working entirely and most don't even show up in the workshop/../mod_folder anymore, so I have no idea how else I could get it to work, other than adding it as a local mod.

Mod works fine with 1.29.3 if you can get it to run, as well as all prior versions.

This mod still works perfectly fine in the current version of the game. If the "outdated" warning bothers you, just open the mod folder and edit the version number.
