Ogledow Village, Poland, August 13th, 1944

Following the destruction of Army Group Center, the Soviets hurled their forces forward once again in the L'vov-Sandomierz Operation late in July. This was an armor-heavy drive, which would take the Soviets right across Poland in the South, to the borders of the pre-war Czechoslovakia and Germany itself.

Here, the Germans push a battered Panzer Division forward to try and stop the Soviet advance. This time, the Soviets have heavy tanks in support and are quite capable of taking on the experienced German panzertruppen. This engagement was where some of the first rare King Tiger II's were ever captured by the Soviets.

The bulk of Soviet forces have situated themselves in the center of Ogledow village, leaving the outskirts weak and susceptible to German counter-attack. It's up to the combined armed forces of each side to vie for control over the Hill and Farm objectives first before finally culminating in control over the village itself.


Originally created by Tripwire, this map is Six_Ten's and BOH-Rekrut's remake of the Red Orchestra: Ostfront version. Having left the map abandoned at a near-final state, I have gone ahead to bring it to its completion by providing corrections to minor but fatal issues.

Being that this map is nearly complete, people will have only a short time window in which to provide feedback and suggestions. Also, there will be no further big changes done to this map given that it's nearly complete and must live up to the spirit of the original.
