This is actually quite similar to an enemy I made for an old prototype (that might return in Waves²). The sides of the ball "popped" out and the weapons extended out from inside a lot like the drones in Oblivion https://mossfilm.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/oblivion-drones.jpg
