The small font size in DoMo has always been a bit of a niche. While there are no options to change this in-game, we can do so by modifying the files directly on our computer.

The original font MingLiu is no longer pre-installed in modern OS and is also not included in the game's downloaded files. This is the main reason for domo's strange text. Albeit still being a little small, manually installing this font usually fixes the majority of issues.

Installing with older windows:

• Open the start menu and type [ᴀᴘᴘs & ꜰᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs]. Open it.
  
• Select [ᴏᴘᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ꜰᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs] > [ᴀᴅᴅ ᴀ ꜰᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇ]
  
• Choose and install [ᴄʜɪɴᴇsᴇ ᴛʀᴀᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ sᴜᴘᴘʟᴇᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʟ ꜰᴏɴᴛs]
  
• Relaunch game

Installing with windows 11:

• Open the start menu and type [ʟᴀɴɢᴜᴀɢᴇ sᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢs]. Open it.
  
• Look for [ᴘʀᴇꜰᴇʀʀᴇᴅ ʟᴀɴɢᴜᴀɢᴇs] > [ᴀᴅᴅ ᴀ ʟᴀɴɢᴜᴀɢᴇ]
  
• Search for [ᴄʜɪɴᴇsᴇ ᴛʀᴀᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ʜᴏɴɢ ᴋᴏɴɢ sᴀʀ] > [ɴᴇxᴛ]
  
• Uncheck all, but keep [ʟᴀɴɢᴜᴀɢᴇ ᴘᴀᴄᴋ] > [ɪɴsᴛᴀʟʟ]
  
• Relaunch game

This method is hit or miss and, quite frankly, an inconvenience. It requires to change the System Locale of our PC to Chinese. While the majority of our programs will still function normally, in English, some will think we can read and understand Chinese. Photoshop, for example. On the other hand, changing the System Locale allows the game to force-recognize a font language and thus display proper english-alphabet instead of ▯▯▯

❈ The game was published by Aeria Games the last time I used this method. There's a probability that it doesn't work with Suba Games or Steam...

The ability to right-click the chat box to increase size has been removed in a previous update. Unfortunately, there are no settings in-game to adjust its size, but we can change it by modifying the files on our computer.

Steam client:

• The steps are the same as below. Our steam domo folder is located at:

Suba client:

• Logout of the game, completely.
  
• Open your ᴅᴏᴍᴏ_ᴜs folder > [ᴜsᴇʀᴅᴀᴛᴀ] > [ᴘᴀɴᴅᴏʀᴀ]
  
• Open the folder for the character to whom we apply the changes to
  
• Open [ᴜɪᴄᴏɴꜰɪɢ] > use [ᴄᴛʀʟ+ꜰ] to search for [ꜰᴏɴᴛsɪᴢᴇ]
  
• Change the values of [ꜰᴏɴᴛsɪᴢᴇ] and [sʏsꜰᴏɴᴛsɪᴢᴇ] (default is size 12)
  
• Save document and close it
  
• Relaunch game

[ꜰᴏɴᴛsɪᴢᴇ] refers to general chat, broadcast, team, etc
[sʏsꜰᴏɴᴛsɪᴢᴇ] refers to the system announcements posted in the upper lid of the chat box

❈ The launcher/patch doesn't typically affect this. So it's ok to launch the game as normal. We may however need to repeat this process if they push a new update (which may overwrite our changes)
