Suspiciously Secret, yet Surprisingly Simple!
Enabling the autorun feature of this game requires an extra, unused button somewhere on your mouse! If you have a generic mouse with only the three base buttons, or if you are currently using all of your available extras, then this will unfortunately not work for you!

I know that many people already know how to do this, but there are a staggering number of people that I've played with who had no idea what I was talking about! Instead of explaining it to each person, I decided to put in out as a guide and hopefully help some others out in the process! This will most likely make DayZ a more enjoyable experience for you.

Simply hit the Escape(Esc) key on your keyboard, and then go to "Configure".

After that, go ahead and hit "Controls".

In that section, you'll see an unassigned movement called "Fast Forward". Once you locate this feature, bind one of your extra mouse buttons to it by simply hitting "Assign".

Next, click the "Add" option, and then press the mouse button you wish to use!

Now, when you hold this button, you should sprint. Once you reach this point, all you need to do is hold the mouse button you selected, open the steam overlay(Shift+Tab), let go of the mouse button, and then close the steam overlay(Shift+Tab)! It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is, just try it for yourself! For when you need to stop autorunning, simply click the same mouse button once again!

**FYI You must manually sprint while checking your inventory**

You can now run forever without having to press any buttons! Go ahead and aim your lovely character towards the airfield, flip on autorun, and go make yourself some food! No wasted time!

I hope that this guide helped some of you guys out! Let me know in the comments if it did! :)

Thanks. I used to use overwolf with 2xW, but now with cursor bug this helps a lot. Cheers!

Even easier: go into razer synapse, or any other application for macros, and hotkey a macro for autorun.

I use it, just toggle and its one press of a button on my keyboard! Easier than shift tabbing, in case of running into a gun firefight
