Notes Before Starting
Thanks everyone for checking out my guide. Here are some important things to remember as you go through this guide and get legendaries.

  • You of course must have the Talon of God mission when doing this (Legendaries have an increased drop rate when using the moonshot during the mission)
  • If you are in Normal Mode, make sure that you have done the quest to find Claptrap's Secret Stash.
  • You should also make sure your stash is empty because you will be using it as a gateway for the Legendaries.
  • If you don't know where Claptrap's Secret Stash is located in Claptrap's Place, it is in a door that is next to your bank (which looks and is basically your bank in Sanctuary) around the area where Knuckledragger takes Claptrap's eye.
  • I am not responsible if you somehow mess up your game.

That's it, on to the guide.
The Steps For Getting Ready To Farm
Here are the steps for getting ready to farm.

  • You must beat Jack and the Warrior. DO NOT use the moonshot yet.
  • Quit the game through the pause menu like you would normally do (You don't need to exit completely to your desktop and DO NOT Alt-F4), and go to this location on your computer. C:\Users\*Your User*\Documents\my games\borderlands 2\willowgame\savedata\*A Number*\
  • Find your save game in the directory I have given you (Generally the order of the saves should be the order you made your characters), go to the save's properties (right click and select properties), and mark it as read-only (and of course apply it).
  • Go back to the game and refresh your character (go to your list of characters and click on your character and the playthrough you are on).
  • You're ready to start the farming process.
The Farming Process
Now that you've made your save read-only, it's time for the farming process to begin.

  • Use the moonshot and try to find a legendary or some gear you might want to keep.
  • If you can't find anything worth taking, simply quit to the menu and refresh your character again (via selecting your playthrough or just clicking on your character in the list of characters you have if on normal mode) to try again.
  • If you do find something worth taking, then you must save and quit to the menu and continue the game (Don't refresh your character or you'll just go back to before the moonshot though) to spawn back to the area with the stores.
  • Then fast travel either to Claptrap's Place (If on TVHM and Above) or to Sanctuary (If on Normal Mode), and go to where Claptrap's Secret Stash is (Like I said in the notes, make sure to have the mission to find Claptrap's Secret Stash done if you are doing this farming process on Normal Mode).

(Left) This is where Claptrap's Stash is in Sanctuary next to Zed's Shop, and is around the junkyard area that Claptrap hangs at (You must have done the mission to find it first though).

(Right) This is where Claptrap's Stash is in Windshear Waste at Claptrap's Place in the beginning of the game (TVHM and above only).

  • Store your newfound treasure inside Claptrap's Secret Stash so you can use it as a gateway to get your gear when done with farming (We put it in the stash because it is not located in your character's specific save, so you can keep the items).
  • Rinse and repeat this process over and over again for infinite legendaries and gear!
  • When done, just go back to your save file in the directory I told you to go to in the preparation steps and deactivate read-only.
  • You're Done! Have fun with your new loot!
Some Words From the Author
I hope this has helped you guys with your Legendary troubles with The Warrior. I wanted to make this guide in the first place as a way to help people struggling to get things like the Conference Call and Volcano. Have a good day!

@GeraltOfRivia By refresh the character, I mean re-select your character. Same way you would select which character you want to play, just re-select the same character you want to farm on.

"(not so if your game runs on SDD) "

That's SSD - Solid State Drive, not SDD. Sorry for the typo.
Zen 14 jul, 2016 @ 11:42
@belle . grabbing a friend or having a mule account, if you're into the game enough to do that.

But don't alt-F4. The author is correct about this: use the read-only option. Alt-F4ing takes a lot more time than the read-only option, and tears up your HDD (not so if your game runs on SDD) - you'll frag the slag out of it, and you''re likely to screw-up running game files until you 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' , fixing those files. This can often screw with drops, including the dice role for legendary drops. This happens regularly, not just from alt-F4ing, but also by from AVs running background tasks, or from overly hot CPUs temps. If you run your game on HDD, don't alt-F4.

Great guide and all, but theres a much quicker way to do this.

I have not tested this in single player, but grabbing a friend to take the stuff you want isn't a huge deal.

Once you've beaten the warrior quicksave your inventory by turning your BAR off then on again. Call moonshot. Alt f4. Repeat.

@Reefer Brownies You're kinda rephrasing the discussion under your comment. The Warrior doesn't drop the best gear, but people can do it if they want. Infinity and Veruc aren't that great, but I see your point.
The Fondler 13 jul, 2016 @ 21:33
Eh I don't really think you should go through this much work for a legendary.. The warrior really only drops the Volcano, The Flakker and the Hellfire occasionaly. (I know he drops other things but those are the most common) There are much better guns that you can get WAY easier. (Veruc, Lyuda, Unkempt Harold and the infinity) it's:steamsalty: Not really worth Farming the warrior is all I'm trying to say :steamsalty:

@Zen I see where you come from. You're right that it's not the greatest way to farm for a mediocre to decent gun. I was just getting tired of the people who kept asking for Conference Calls lol. Thanks for your comments.
