1. Download the mod: Xbox 360[www.dropbox.com] or DualShock 4[www.dropbox.com]

2. Navigate to the game directory. (You can easily find the directory by right clicking the game in your steam library and selecting: Properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files...)

3. Unpack the contents of the file you downloaded inside the game directory.

4. Start Patch.bat, you might need to start it as administrator, and choose if you want to backup LINKDATA2.BIN and LINKDATA2.IDX.

5. Done.

@Legion in cases like this, i always recommend checking Steam Input and resetting it to the recommended preset or the basic controller preset.
Sometimes, when Steam updates it, there's a slim chance it creates some funny, dysfunctional mappings.

Any idea why Y doesn't work? I rand 2 different programs to check and see if maybe, just maybe, my button was bad...but it isn't. For some reason Y just refuses to register in this game.

If possible you could apply the patch on a Windows PC and replace LINKDATA2.BIN and LINKDATA2.IDX on the Steam Deck with the patched versions.
Otherwise these are the 4 relevant commands:
LinkdataPatcher.exe LINKDATA2 4689.dat 4689
LinkdataPatcher.exe LINKDATA2 4690.dat 4690
LinkdataPatcher.exe LINKDATA2 4695.dat 4695
LinkdataPatcher.exe LINKDATA2 4696.dat 4696
but you would still need to run them via Proton. I guess you could add LinkdataPatcher.exe as a non-steam game and set the start parameters to LINKDATA2 4689.dat 4689, ... one after the other.

I used some rickety custom scripts, that I couldn't share without some major cleanup. If you just want to extract the textures, I think https://www.xnalara.org/viewtopic.php?t=1001 might be your best bet. There is no official support for the PC version of Bladestorm. But Toukiden Kiwami uses the same data layout, so it should work with that option.

How did you extract the textures?
