Austrian Alps: Wolfgangsee

Visit the Salzkammergut, Austria's beautiful Alps region (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site). In the center of this map is the Wolfgangsee, a famous and beautiful location for both summer and ski tourism. The landscape and lake are the same as real life, but the highways and rail are not - they are there for gameplay reasons (otherwise we would have no Autobahn). The real Wolfgangsee has a small population, but it's possible to make quite a decent-sized city (or town with many villages, as you like), all surrounded by beautiful scenery!

The map theme Alps - Dolomites is required for this map, because oil is customized to look like snow. So, if you use a default map theme, you will have yellowy oil on top of the mountains :D I chose oil as snow so that you can also choose to use <<FSB>>Ranger's Alpine Theme if you like, which also uses oil as snow and has some more customization than Alps - Dolomites.

Thanks to all the amazing content creators, credit is given in the images above. The only items that come with the map are MrMaison's Live Oak and TPB's Green Pine Tree. You must subscribe to those two (see popup) in order to get this map to work.

- No Shipping (map is released to map editor, so you can add / change anything you like, like adding shipping)
- 2x highway connectors in your start square
- fast current and tons of water power to supply your city and efficiently flush away sewage
- smooth, even shorelines for nice city shorelines
- nice amount of lakeside flat land (increased flat land compared to real Wolfgangsee)
- buildable size compared to Liechtenstein map: a little less flat land (b/c of lake), a lot more smooth valley and hillside than Liechtenstein's extreme mountains.
- many idyllic locations for little Alpine Villages

Mods used in the map creation (not required but for our reference).

- Unlimited trees (there are 206,000 out of 250,000 max on this map, but Unlimited Trees mod now has a nice "replace" option which solves current custom tree-related issues. If you don't subscribe to all custom trees found in a map or in a save game of your own, you will get a spamming error and a flat map with just roads.
