How to run Drakensang fullscreen on Widnows 10
Af Tamaster
IMPORTANT: THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK FOR "THE RIVER OF TIME". Use "fullscreenizer" (google it) if you want to fix "River of Time"

Do this to run fullscreen:

Go in Steam, Drakensang, proprieties, set launch options; and there write:

-d3d9 -windowed

Launch the game from STEAM LIBRARY by pressing play. Then go in-game, go to options and set resolution at the maximum possible. Restart the game; now you have a window as big as your screen.

When you arrive at the main menu, press ALT+ENTER; the window will become fullscreen, but still work.

---

In case the above doesn't work, try these alternative codes instead. Input them in the same way in launch options as described above. ONE at a time not both!

THIS ONE:

-d3d9 -windowed -novideo

OR THIS ONE:

-d3d9 -novideo

ADDITIONAL FIX IF ALL ABOVE DOESN'T WORK:

"I found out that I get it up and running using the provides launch parameters (-autoconfig -novideo -windowed) but I got a lot of crashes.

After searching and trying around I found that the dgVoodoo (available on the Dege's Stuff website) works best for me to prevent game crashes. And disabling HD Textures helped here too (btw you don't really notice that much of a difference so it's fine)."

Found another way to fix it

download d3d9.zip from here: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/d3d9-wrapper/releases/tag/d3d9-wrapper-v1.58

extract it to the game folder, open d3d9.ini and set:

ForceWindowedMode = 1

ForceWindowStyle = 1

Save changes

As a bonus you can also limit fps there since the game doesn't have one

@Naomha

I updated the guide with your suggestion and credited it.

I also fixed some grammar because back then my English was garbage.

Thanks.

I know this is an old thread but you can also add this code if it isn't working on Win10 or Win11. Be AWARE that THIS will generate a WINDOW if you're running a widescreen monitor or 4k monitor.

-d3d9-windowed-novideo

You can also try

-d3d9-novideo
