According to birth certificate they were born in Cloudsdale. When they were young, their parents were mysteriously killed. They grew up like orphans in dangerous streets of Cloudsdale. Cloudy now works as Head inspector of Cloud division in Cloudsdale and Rose lives in Canterlot, working as biologist in royal lab.
