I decided to remove the last clip I had recorded for my game play video of 1916 and place it on its own, as its actually a complete play through from start to finish. Hope you enjoy, PP.

Welcome to 1916: Der Unbekannte Krieg (Translation: The Unknown War). As the name suggests, it takes place in the year 1916 and more importantly, a WW1 German trench. However, the events taking place aren't exactly how the history books say. A young soldier stumbles through the wet trenches. He is alone, yet through the thick haze of mustard gas, he sees the shadows move. Ammunition has almost run out and fatigue is distorting his perception. Attempting to find a friendly soul in the river of blood and mud, he runs into something far more terrifying than a firing squad of Allied soldiers.

The point of the game is not to fight, but to flee. You are given a piece of paper in the with only the phrase "Finde die leiter.." (Translation:"Find the ladder.."). With this in mind, you're left not as a man, but a scared mouse in a maze constructed out of the very trenches that were meant to keep you safe from the enemy. They are constantly patrolling, searching for you and they wont rest until they find you. You may find flares to distract them, rip of chunks of meat from your fallen allies to stall them or simply run around like crazy and hide in a bunker. But remember this.

The ladder is your only way out.
