Gauss rifle with max charged fusion cells for the finest power output, or the AMR with armor peicing rounds. and not to forget psyco with a magazine buff. and then for the head shot.

The truly best way is Pushy or Riot Shotgun with the And Stand Back perk. or golden gloves is always a option.

I play all stealthy in Fallout games, it's easy to take down a tough enemy with a high-powered weapon and a critical stealth hit.

you should look at ur perk selection (and maybe your skill too) cuz you should kill them one shot with a gauss rifle... I kill an adult deathclaw with one headshot simply with a hunting rifle and jsp ammo or with a paciencia (Iron sight hunting rifle) for more fun
