When I played Minecraft (sadly, I lost the log-in info), I LOVED using the superflat worldgen simply because of how... eerily empty it is. It's beautifully quiet; you can see for miles; it was THE one thing that gave me a sense of eery wonderment. And, of course, wondering just where the next village is...
