Im just gonna keep it short, There is a command in the game that is disabled while using Dx 80 called Mat_specular 0. This causes Australiums and uber charges to be not shiny and just all around terrible looking...


BUT enabling mat specular by typing Mat_specular 1 into the console gives the shine back.
