Basic Guide Overview - From Dev Comments

This game is early access. Much more content coming. Your job is to explore island, find weapons/ammo, and murdify some zeds without buying the farm.

Movement

Player can choose direction via arc interface like in Valve's The Lab, and start moving at constant speed. Left menu button, above track-pad, chooses destination. Left trigger increases speed, and uses stamina, which regenerates over time. Doors don't currently open.

Weapon Use - Weapons To Be Found

"Right grab releases clip. "Left grab" reloads all the weapons. Right hand grip to drop the mag (a new mag is put in the other hand), put the mag in the bottom of the gun to reload. Left hand grip to chamber it. For other controls, see controller diagram above.

Weapons, and med-kits, are all over the map. For the current early access version of the game, the goal is to simply survive as long as you can. Weapons, and med-kits, will re-spawn from time to time, as well as Zombies :) The silver pistol, by the zombies in initial spawn, is the same M9A1 you start with. So, if you do not already have a particular weapon, you pick it up. But, if you already own one, you are getting ammo instead. There are: hunting rifles, shotguns, grenades and AK-47s at various locations on the map to pickup.

Weapon Selection

Switch using right touch-pad up/down.

Damage

The pistol is a 50/50 chance to kill zombies with 1 shot to head. Also, damage depends where you shoot. Shotgun to head is a guaranteed kill, and also can damage multiple zombies at once, but damage falls off quickly over distance. Hunting rifles at close distance are a mostly guaranteed kill whenever it hits. The AK-47, yes, is bit under-powered, but it shoots fast.

Smartphone

So, based on player feedback, the idea is not to have a UI in VR.
  • Heart - it shows your Health and Stamina (left trigger uses stamina to increase movement speed, stamina regenerates over time). Med-packs restore health.
  • Gun - current weapon and clips left.
  • Zombie - Zombie kill count. How high can you go?
  • Camera - takes pics, and saves to game folder.

Future Features Planned

Multiplayer. Custom art, animations. Safe-houses where you can craft traps, call deployable turrets, or bombing, etc. Plus, special scenarios, and missions, for sniping or RPG, etc. We have already done such things in the past, in different games. We've done MP games, a lot of shooters, but as outsourced projects. Now, we can make our own IP's, and create whatever we want, if its fun of course :)

For now you can move, explore and that already adds variations how can you survive using different tactics. Later, we plan to add MP and CO-OP, Safe-houses, original story, crafting, and release this as episodes. On top of that, work closely with the community, and build the ultimate VR core experience.

Bugs

Please report, along with system specs, does this happen all the time or only at some places on map? in the Steam bug discussion thread.

i cant run game in "vr mode". how i can do it. now it works in "mouse and keypad mode" and left button dosent work

and the scheme for Oculus Touch? ,guys nerf the difficulty is too unfair mgive the new players a chance to explore and learn the game mechanics

I'm using keyboard and mouse but the left button doesn't work.
