Introduction
Are you tired of that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ SVT missing every shot you think is on target?
Sick of the same old same old game in, game out?
Wanna try something borderline cheating and not get banned?
Tired of getting demolished in CQC by upgraded automatic weaponry with your stock semi-auto?

I've finally got the answer to all of the first three. That last one isn't gonna change for the most part, unfortunately.

The Setup
Ok, so here's what you need to succeed:

1) A Shiny New Computer. Like this:

Got that far? Good.
2) One o Deez:
.png]That right there is a Logitech M705 Mouse. Runs about 50$ new nowadays, but some of their cheaper models will do the trick if you're a cheap ♥♥♥♥. Sounds pretty sweet, right?

You seein' dis shiznit?

That right there is the key to victory.
What you're seeing is a toggleable mousewheel, common on many work mice as well as some gaming mice (some gaming mice leave it out, though, because competition-grade players find it bothersome to accidentally bump the button). That button toggles between limited spin, like a normal mousewheel, and free-spinning which is great for scrolling through long-ass documents.

In this case, we're going to be using that high-speed wheel as an autoclicker.

What you need to do to get this sweet, sweet setup rollin' is to go to your menu ingame and click here:

and click here:

and then scroll down here:

Change your "Primary Fire" button to your scroll wheel. Don't forget to also change whichever direction of scrollwheel you bound to fire to another button (the M705 has two side-mouse buttons, so I set it to one of those for now. It's a handy way to switch weapons).
Why does this work?
Here's the breakdown on the "science" behind this.

Your gun has a set rate of fire, which is really how long the firing animation is set to take. Clicking causes the gun to fire, but clicking while the gun is still in the animation of firing has no effect. This can cause "jamming", also known as "oversampling" in which you're clicking too fast; so fast that you're mistiming your clicks, causing a hiccup in firing between when your first click (which occurs during the previous fire animation and fails to fire the gun) and the next click (by which the gun has long since reset).

The goal with using this scrollwheel idea is that the scrollwheel, when flicked REALLY FAST, can click so many times per second that it essentially closes the gap between when the animation finishes and when the next "click", or detected motion of the scrollwheel, occurs. I'd hazard to guess that a good flick on my mouse (an M705) in a standard position on the mouse (not hovering over the mouse for maximal speed or anything) can reach a thousand or so RPM. This differs GREATLY from my actual clicking speed, somewhere in the neighborhood of 370-380 RPM when I'm hyped and really deep into a killstreak. This can cause jams on certain guns, such as my TT-33, where it's RoF is only 378 the way I have it modded (HPB + Hair Trigger). Sometimes, this causes jams, which can get me killed in a close fight. However, I don't see justifying the cost of upgrading to the Match Trigger when I can practice the timing to keep myself from going over. Scrollfiring avoids that all together by maxing out the RoF anyway.

On the other hand, guns that can be modded WELL above my max clicking speed make no sense, right? Why do I need 600 RPM on an M1 if I can only click 370? I'm wasting cash and increasing recoil for a useless mod. Heck, I don't need EITHER ROF mod if it's sticking at 400 RPM stock, right? Now you know, and can take full advantage of the DPS your semi-auto has to offer.

SO, let's start conquering fears and issues about this!

"BUBUBUBUT TAILS, WHADDIF AH GIT BANNED? AIN'T THAT THERE A'CHEATIN'?"

The most honest words you'll hear from this guide: RETO will literally call you lazy and leave it at that. I sent a ticket to Support asking the big question and got a reply from Reto.Gargamel himself, and here are his words:

"Hello SixtiesSpiderMan,

Sorry about the delayed reply; I put your mail aside because I didn't have the answer at hand, and only found it again today.

Weapons can only fire as fast as their nominal rate of fire (i.e. what is shown in the stats is true).

Using the mousewheel *can* make the weapon shoot as fast as possible, but not faster than its maximum ROF.
Also, it doesn't counter sway and recoil.
So as such, it's not against the rules. It's lazy but it's not "cheating".

And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen! I was called lazy by a dev (I prefer "economical with my fingers", although I can be pretty lazy too). I consider this a greenlight (the ticket was even labeled as "critical importance" which makes me feel special :3), and thus the reason why I wanted to share this in a guide. I have the original email archived as proof, should someone come back to me on this.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

The default SA rifles have a good chance of competing in CQC now.
Even if you can't click at full RoF compared to the mods you install, you can now reach it (very useful for RoF-minded handguns).
The M1 or M1A1 carbine essentially becomes an RoF-downgraded M2 Carbine for Paratroopers.
Every Weapon excluding BA's now become select fire without having to actually toggle select fire.

"Tails, does this mess up other weapons or vehicles?"

Not at all! All vehicles will revert to normal controls, as they have a seperate binding for operating vehicle weaponry that happens to also coincide with left-click on a mouse. Grenades can be a little funky, and will take some getting used to; if you don't spin the wheel fast enough, it will essentially flicker between the "charging" and "throwing" animation super fast, sometimes dropping a little surprise at your feet on accident! Make sure you give the wheel a solid flick so that the character has no time to go into the throw animation, and it should charge the throw just fine and will toss whenever you stop the wheel. You may want to consider using H3's instead of thrown AT weapons because this does slow down your throwing rate a fair bit, and you'll never miss with H3's (or you could just go into your remapping keys menu and hit "Default" to restore controls before facing tanks, or just run projectile weapon builds only and not worry about grenades).

"You sneaky ♥♥♥♥♥, how long have you known this?"

It's been around for years. Just type in "Scroll wheel firing" into Google and you'll find age-old tutorial videos of this technique for CS:S and CS:GO (although I believe doing this in that game CAN get you banned, because they detect how fast you are clicking, and if it's too consistent and too close to the max for a semi-auto, it assumes you're using a macro/autoclicker and bans you). I've been doing this almost since Day One with the M1 Carbine back when it was for infantry, pre-Soviets. Still works :3

"You're a dirty little ♥♥♥♥ for trying to make this popular, you know that?"

Yes, I know. And I still love you all the same, even if I'm cramming a 600RPM M1A1 up your bum as a para.

"Doesn't going for full RoF all the time really screw up your gun?"

Yeah, your gun is gonna recoil like the universe after Chuck Norris throws a punch. ONLY IF YOU ADS. Hipfire like a man. Take Tight Grip Gold if you're really that much of a wuss about the recoil (it will have more of an effect on semi-autos because you're reaching max RoF). Also, accuracy isn't usually dependent on RoF unless you use the Marksman trigger jobs (Accuracy for RoF trade), so you can usually use high-accuracy ammunition and sights in conjunction with RoF mods on your Garand/G43/SVT-40 to get the best of both worlds. Definitely avoid optics if you can, since you'll be throwing a lot of lead nowadays and it WILL add up VERY FAST. Using my AVS-36 with 7N1 and the URAH barrel usually only costs me 2-3k a long game, whereas adding a PU optic can jack the price up several K credits per game, for example. M1 Carbines with M84 optics will probably feel this the worst since they'll be dumping the most ammunition of all semi-autos using this technique.

Demonstrating the Magic
Excuse the lag, my internet was crapping out on me today for some reason. By some reason I mean my parents streaming too much Frasier. Also, Youtube decided to automatically cap the video quality at 360p despite rendering it in 1080p, so to hell with that I guess.

This footage was shot with an M1A1 Carbine running only the custom trigger, for reference.

For all the people foaming out of their asshole on "BLUH BLUH US bias "... have you recently checked the ROF on the p38 pistol for GE ? you will be pleasantly suprised about the ROF for a 3hk pistol without recoil , Anyways for people afraid of getting banned , dont do this with software , no autoclicker macros , no mouse software macros etc .Modifing your mouse like this is a HARDWARE change and not a SOFTWARE change , if you got banned over a SOFTWARE they either banned you for something else or I would bully the support till they respond because you are not using third party software - if they would ban you for using this hardware tweak they would also have to ban for using a mouse with quickfire button which is purely mechanical , they would also have to ban you for increasing your monitors saturation , or using a mouse or monitor with lower response time or higher HZ
